1. Have you lived in other countries? Yes, I lived in Korea for several years in the years 1978 (then got out of the Army) and back again to live in Noryanjin in 1979-1982. My husband was Korean and I lived with his family while he finished out his ROK service.
2. If you were given a chance to live in Asia, where would you live and why? I've wanted to live in Asia since I was about 12 years old. I would choose Thailand, when I was a teenager, I knew many students from there and learned a lot about the culture and terrain. Now however, I would choose Samoa, not Asia I know, but politically stable.
3. Can you tell us more about your occupation?
Right now I work at a Veteran's hospital (so yes I see the damage wrought by this war) but previously I was a legal advocate for battered women both in California and Hawaii. .
4. What do you do in your spare time?
Ever since the Army taught me the benefits of hard exercise, I work out and I read a whole lot. World news from all over, papers from many countries, almost everyday, and socialize a bit. 5. Why did you join Asia Observer? I thought there might be other people who like to debate the state of the world we live in, and love Asia as much as I do.
