1. Can you tell us something about yourself?

I'm a "Made-in-Hong Kong" carrying Chinese DNA and "re-born" in France (where I got my 2nd Birth Certificate). Being quadrilingual, I have been living and working in several continents ( Asia, Europe , America) & have visited a number of cities there.

I was Trade Attaché of France for over 15 years and was responsible for trade relationship (particularly) with Chinese Business Communities, in PRC, Hong Kong and in Cambodia where I was deputy to the Commercial Counselor. Impressed by the economic development in PRC, I switched to the private sector and have been working as marketing consultant (in various industries ranging from textile, cosmetics, luxury products, hospitality to IT) and as trainer/coach (Intercultural & sales performance) from time to time.

I was also a piano teacher (for pocket money) when I was a secondary school student and a tour coordinator after matric (earning money for my post secondary studies).

I'm now based in Shanghai and return regularly to Paris where I have my own apartment and to Hong Kong.  I enjoy very much being a free ion geared by the rules of affinities.

2. What are your favorite places in Asia?

Hong Kong, the "City of Life" is by all means my most favorite place. As a whole, my interests lie rather on Eastern Asia: countries/region and/or cities like China (particularly East China ), Japan, South Korea , Thailand , Indochina. But also India and could extend to the CIS.

3. What personal achievement are you most proud of and why?

I have been the pioneer in several aspects such as compiling a (economic) survey on the early PRC (Mainland) Groups establishing in Hong Kong during the 80s which they used as springboard for integrating to world economies. It carries every detail relating to their background and economic links with Hong Kong and foreign companies.  Depicting a full picture of their economic weight at that time it obtained much appreciation from the Governor of Hong Kong and foreign media such as Financial Times.

I have also introduced the revolutionary concept integrating operating control for subway to PRC market, thus reducing costs and improving efficiency in subway operations.

Get recognized in every stage of my career, matriculated in science subjects, studied French for 9 months, got a Higher Diploma in International Trade. Began my career as Trade Officer (the first non native French to be Deputy Chief of the Commercial Service writing Diplomatic Telegrams with my 3 rd language), then as marketing consultant in different trades, but also trainer/coach for MNCs

My career journey looks a bit complicated, but basically I'm a simple person as I devoted whole heartedly to everything I do.

4. What other websites do you regularly visit?

5. What for you is the best about

Asia Observer?

Managing a platform where views of all walks of life and from all corners of the World are actively exchanged on interesting subjects about the life in Asia, best if it can be cleared from abusive use.
