1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I learned Chinese when I was in charge of China for an official French organization involved in strategic affairs. I also have been assigned in several French Embassies in Asia. On a personal note, I'm passionate about gardening.

2. What other websites do you visit on a regular basis?

Every day I visit around twenty websites on Asia. I frequent sites like Asia News Network, Asia Times, IHT and Asia One. When I work on one country for a lecture or an interview, I'm inclined to visit more websites that should include news agencies, newspapers and the country's official sites. When I have no time, I just watch BBC where I follow news and information about Asia-Pacific and South Asia regions.

3. What is the best thing about Asia?

My interest for Asia was born out of my desire to understand the region's unique culture. Asian culture is very different from the Occident.  Today, I think the best thing about Asia is the aggressive growth and progress demonstrated by many countries of this region.

4. What do you do for a living?

I teach geopolitics in Asia and in some universities in China. Concurrent with my teaching job is my work for French corporations where I train their future expatriates for Asia.

5. Why did you join Asia Observer?

I was just looking for a website which focus is on Asia. Then I found Asia Observer where I can find news articles and discussions about Asia and its countries.
