Dear Thais,
I am from a country , your neighbouring, Myanmar , where there is no democracy at the moment like you have. I am watching the democracy in your country , because we Myanmars and Thais have almost the same culture, traditions and customs.
We Myanmars had democracy some times ago and we lost it. We lost it because we did not know what to do with it, we did not treasure it, we did not take care of it . Now we are fighting to have that democracy back. You know that, very well. I want the best democracy for my country, and my people , because they need it. Whether they deserve it or not time will tell. I believ democracy is like a baby, we have to take care of it, we have to know how to take care of it.
It is well known that Thailand is a democratic country and the elected government honours human rights of its citizens. The constitutional monarch is on top of everything Thailand. This monarch to see his children fighting like this , he won‘t be long , he will break his heart and join his ancestors sooner than later.
The outsiders are seeing how fragile your democracy is, how you all are divided. For every reasons these are not good signs.
This time you have disrupt Thailand’s economy, you have disturb those who are bringing foreign currencies to Thailand , helping Thailand.
You have many places in Thailand or in Bangkok , where you can hold your protests, where you can demonstrate, but you picked airports. Whoever idea was that , it was wrong in my view.
Your democracy is fragile., it has not taken the firm roots yet. There was a good and bad sign . What good was there was no military coupe physically, like they used to do. Bad thing was, who the hell was the military chief to ask or to urged the elected Prime Minister to resign . It seemed to me that military top brass was using the public in his own favour, that was a very clever trick by that top brass.
If he was with you, or you were with him, you will be under him. That’s for sure, He will manipulate you, he will undermine you.
Democracy or not, human rights or not. If a country is politically so unstable, economical instability will follow. What ever you have had achieved you will lose them very easily. In the end you will have the hardship.
Democracy is a very precious treasure, you must know the value of it. You have to handle it with care and look after it very well. If you like to live under military rules , that is up to you. Please do not demand for military rules. You may not demand military rule from your mouth, verbally but you might demand by your own senseless actions.
All military rules are at the demands of stupid actions by some stupid people. ( citizens) Please don’t be carried away .
There are certain things we should not do, democracy or not, human rights or not. Freedom has to be exercised with respects . What that respects are , are not written down in words in the books , you have to use your common sense.
If you lose your common sense, you will lose your democracy and you will lose your human rights. That’s what happened to Myanmar many years ago.
Regards,
Thunderbolts.
