I am in Manila now - and tonight had a very nice dinner with three of our members here.

First of all I met with Peachy (usernam "Pokkha", see her profile page here), who is working part-time as community manager on the site and really is doing a great job. We had a long meeting discussing improvements we want to make on Asia Observer. More on that later.

For dinner we were joined by Jean Prudente - (username "Zen" - see her profile page here) and Ferdinand L. Bondoy (username "corcky" - see his profile page here). You find a picture of these two below.

It was a great night indeed and for me as founder of the site is was a warm confirmation of how some of our members really care about the site. Thank you so much to all three of you and to all the others who are regular contributors. I really appreciate you participation!

I will stay in the Philippines until Sunday. Then I will go to South Korea to attend a course for Norwegian journalists.
