Dear linsi,
Honestly, not only you had beauty AND brain but also guts/courage. No wonder now adays women are taking the “leadership role”. In fact, out of the 3 contenders running for US President currently, one is a woman (Hillary Clinton). I see many woman have the ability, capability, personality and courage in taking the leadership role around the world including Myanmar where a woman is the sole contender against 400,000 troops and officers. One against four hundred thousand? This is totally extraordinary. Aung San Suu Kyi faces this 400,000 fully armed MEN with her intellectual (brain), personality, dignity and courage. I am impressed by your response for all posts in the Burma forum yours is the most intriguing, interesting and encouraging post.
Burma already had a courageous woman like you but the mistake she had is she stays within the boundaries (Burma is like a huge jail) of Myanmar and the military plays with her like a toy. She was restricted, extended, discredited and so on and she cannot do anything under the heavy boots of the junta.
Any way, my thoughts are……………………It is well over time that the Burmese Opposition should create an Organization outside Myanmar and seek for armed or unarmed conflict with the ruling circle. Penetrate all sectors of spdc using advanced technology, finding funds from International community and build a powerful armed forces that is so stealthy, flexible, adaptable where each unit/person is an army of its own. There are many mercenaries or professional militant trainers around the world who are willing to trained the Myanmar Opposition if they were paid with reasonable pay.
Instead of wasting time, energy and money talking, writing slogan why not take arms and infiltrate back into Myanmar and penetrate all sectors as agents and coordinate through advance communication systems.
Burmese themselves have to fight and shed blood to gain freedom from fear of military thugs. I am sure there are some good soldiers and officers alike to join the fight against Than Shwe clique.
Your analysis of Saddam and Bush Jr, is very convincing and reasonable. Great! Linsi, you are great!
Regards,
Miramar.

miramar, are you asking me what am i gonna do?
maybe i will try my very best to cross the border
to thailand, and if i have money and influence
try to finance and build up forces outside
to topple the military junta in burma
i will seek the help of fellow burmese
living in free nations to form coalition
also would work and widen a network
with foreign friends who are willing to support-
and strengthen the organization,
i would not wait any longer for america
or the UN or any nation, i would, if i have
the money and influence, recruit more
loyal burmese for democracy and freedom
and when everything is set and done
i will go back to burma, send the junta away
and help set democracy, true democracy to it's own peole.
