Wait a minute Mr. Miramar,

HOLD your horses Mr., for when you talk about China and Russia on one side seeking for destruction of USA, that means world war 3 man, world war 3. Can US take on China and Russia combined? Of course she can but the consequences are so great that world war 3 can be ignited for sure.

As for Myanmar military, it is no small fry anymore for they are seeking the “nuclear” technology from Russia so be careful of this menace. It can blow up the entire region if Myanmar military go nuclear.

What do you guys and gal/linsi think about Myanmar military owning the nuclear technology in the future?. I believe in the near future, 10 years from now to be exact, the world will change into a different situation and different scenarios. US needs to take out threats before they realized or take place.

before we go to nuclear technology and third world war
let me tell you about the gulf war paradoxan, miramar and myanmat
it is just because Saddam Hussein's dictatorship was compared to Than Shew's
regime..

how america jumped into gulf war 2 and yet remained
deaf and blind to burma's sufferings-

let us examine how nations reacted to gulf war2
when bush sr liberated kuwait, Saddam Hussein was
totally mad about bush sr. he then made a big
photo of the face of bush sr, engraved in the floor
of his golden palace where visitors and people
step on the image.

for muslim traditions, such act is a grievious
misconduct and dishonor, that is the reason
Saddam Hussein gave a message to the world
that he hated bush sr. and america-

when bush jr, became the president
and the 9-11 sowed terror and fright
through out america and the world
bush jr. decided to launch gulf war 2

but china, russia and france did not like
it- the reason? bunkers in iraq were engineered
by france and war weapons most of it came
from russia and china.
so the free world is divided too?

the problems become enormous so much so
that bush jr- had his whole strength and mind
aimed at Saddam Hussein and the middle east

as burma is left on its own desperation.

Dear linsi,

Honestly, not only you had beauty AND brain but also guts/courage. No wonder now adays women are taking the “leadership role”. In fact, out of the 3 contenders running for US President currently, one is a woman (Hillary Clinton). I see many woman have the ability, capability, personality and courage in taking the leadership role around the world including Myanmar where a woman is the sole contender against 400,000 troops and officers. One against four hundred thousand? This is totally extraordinary. Aung San Suu Kyi faces this 400,000 fully armed MEN with her intellectual (brain), personality, dignity and courage. I am impressed by your response for all posts in the Burma forum yours is the most intriguing, interesting and encouraging post.

Burma already had a courageous woman like you but the mistake she had is she stays within the boundaries (Burma is like a huge jail) of Myanmar and the military plays with her like a toy. She was restricted, extended, discredited and so on and she cannot do anything under the heavy boots of the junta.

Any way, my thoughts are……………………It is well over time that the Burmese Opposition should create an Organization outside Myanmar and seek for armed or unarmed conflict with the ruling circle. Penetrate all sectors of spdc using advanced technology, finding funds from International community and build a powerful armed forces that is so stealthy, flexible, adaptable where each unit/person is an army of its own. There are many mercenaries or professional militant trainers around the world who are willing to trained the Myanmar Opposition if they were paid with reasonable pay.

Instead of wasting time, energy and money talking, writing slogan why not take arms and infiltrate back into Myanmar and penetrate all sectors as agents and coordinate through advance communication systems.

Burmese themselves have to fight and shed blood to gain freedom from fear of military thugs. I am sure there are some good soldiers and officers alike to join the fight against Than Shwe clique.

Your analysis of Saddam and Bush Jr, is very convincing and reasonable. Great! Linsi, you are great!

Regards,

Miramar.

Guys & Gals,

What Mynmyat said was right. The conflict of China and Russia against US can create humongous consequences. In my opinion the world be in a better position after getting rid of anti-freedom forces. Of course no pain, no gain.

Also, do not under estimate the opponents’ capability for US learn the lesson of ignoring the Muslim extremists’ threat and underestimate it and the world trade centers of New York City was crashed. America was attacked by the under dog and insignificant force, the terrorists.

So never underestimate the enemy no matter how small the threat is. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice mention Myanmar military as “Outpost of Tyranny” and yet why didn’t US demolished the outpost? That’s my question. Can anyone of you answer my question?

US defense secretary Robert Gates had said Myanmar government (I call them Myanmar regime) put their hands in their pockets while other are handing out their hands. Also he said the stone walling of Myanmar regime has committed a “Criminal Neglect” meaning Myanmar regime “knowingly” let their own people/victims of Nargis die intentionally.

http://www.dawn.com/2008/06/02/int15.htm

What do you guys and gals think of US Navy withdrawal? Also what do you think of Thailand’s coups for Thailand is influential over Myanmar and can cause affects.

The junta conduct falls into the category of “Crimes against Humanity” which includes in their own law and International law.

free world specially US, has turned cold shoulders
about the grief of Myanmar.

i hope anyone who has more ideas, share with us
so that each one of us can learn more--

people have different approaches to life-
likewise, people have different approaches
to discussions-

Reading about the article-
"Why the junta steals foreign aid"

some members of the military are frustrated
others defected to the other side
since the september monks revolt-

Howdy linsi,

Although it is open to all, its OK to keep on discussing the analysis, Yes we can! (the theme of Obama Campaign slogan)

Thanks for the explanation and I agree with you. If there is no direct threat US seldom move its forces. But that was with Bush jr. The next new President will have new strategies and impact on the world. I’m not sure US will ignore the “outpost” just as Bush jr Admin has.
Thanks for the link on how Myanmar military is so desperate to survive and steals goods intended for Cyclone victims. I hope US Navy withdraws and do not attempt to supply any goods or aids and let Myanmar military struggle on their own. Who knows what will strike them again. It is stupid to think that Nargis strikes only civilians for this Irrawaddy delta is the hub of Burmese military. In fact the Karens almost occupied Rangoon/Yangon when the Karen forces (conflict between Karens and Bamars) invade and take stronghold INSEIN township, the suburb of Yangon. Insein township is only 10 miles away from the center of Yangon City, the ex capital city of Myanmar. Burmese army almost fall at that time.

In a way I thank Nargis very much for retaliation. Nargis is my favorite “perfect” cyclone embedded in the history of Asia. Nargis will be remembered as the ONLY force (no one does, not UN or US or EU or no nation) that invade and destroy the evil Burmese military. Hope many Nargis will follow in the future. Sorry about the collateral damage or deaths of innocent civilians. Hey! No pain no gain. Remember that.

Regards,

Miramar.

hi paradoxaan

in my own POV- i think the US presently has its own
interests such as war in iraq and destabilizing
nuclear build-up (iran) in the middle east
and not myanmar.

my two cents.
