I understand Senior General Than Shwe has confidence in the Chinese people.

I would like to suggest that a team of Chinese helicopter pilots and landing craft operators will ferry relief supplies to southern Burma-Myanmar from the three US ships that are waiting there.

How can this request be put to Senior General Than Shwe?

1. diplomatic channels

2. through the UN

3. letter to the Myanmar Embassy in Washington

4. Letter to the Permanent Representative of the Union of Myanmar to the United Nations

Thank you
nayting

nayting,

Well thought of it. It may be feasable, if the US and the Chinese work out and agree between them and submit to Sr Gen Than Shwe. I don't think he would say NO. It is check and balance, isn't it?

Do they really want this kind of co operation or not is not sure. Not even for photo opportunity. Wherever they go, whatever they do on their own or together with others. US must take a leading role, otherwise forget the whole thing.
Unfortunately China is busy with its earth quake. Is it a real earth quake or somebody had delibrate underground neuclear explosion. Topidoed the Chinese coast. Everything is possible these days.

Russian neuclear sub marine Khusk was shot by US sub. Luckily it did not hit the neuclear war heads storage on Khusk. It is on the record, my man.

When Sr. Gen Than Shwe said leave the aid at the air port , we will do the rest, US did not like it, did not accept it . You can never keep US in any second place. They have the culture of telling other what to do. And they are the one who called other, dictators.

When Tatmadaw takes a leading role in Myanmar politic. US and Anglophile do not like it. You see?

Hi Nayting and Thunderbolts,

Putting our heads together solving this catastrophic disaster is a better way than banging each other heads or slinging abuse. The main stumbling block and hitch in distributing aid is mistrust. Instead of building confidence, United States, France, British and including Australia are taking high moral ground, criticized Myanmar to score political mileage.

Myanmar will be most grateful to accept any sincere and genuine help, assistant and donations through proper channel from any country. Myanmar will not give a blank check or freehand to any foreign agencies.

France's foreign minister, Bernard Kouchner, the founder of Doctors without Borders, last week said United Nations should invoke its "responsibility to protect." He called for the world body to "obtain a United Nations resolution which authorizes the delivery [of aid] and imposes this on the Burmese government." But China and several other Security Council members opposed French efforts to raise this idea, as did senior U.N. officials.

How can Myanmar trust Doctors without Border and any NGOs to enter sensitive areas? They need to be scrutinized closely before giving permission.

United States, France, British and Australia should handover aid to third party supervisory groups whom Myanmar Government trusts. A support team which consist representative of donors countries, headed by third party supervisory group will oversee distribution of aid where required. In every support team Myanmar minders must be embedded to keep an eye.

Countries most likely Myanmar trust is China, ASEAN countries or perhaps India. It would solve logistic matters and National Security.

It is just a thought.

Polaris,

In the case of Myanmar today as you have rightly stated ,honesty and sincerity, will build the trust. Which is the most important thing.

There are ten nations in ASEAN. If each one of them send one helicopter each to Myanmar, there will be 9 in total with whatever they can contribute. We people in ASEAN do not live on biscuits, no matter what .

India , China , Russia, Australia and other willing countries, in the same way subject to their affordablity could send aid. Tinned food, such as meat, poultry, fish etc. Nhpu Mga Chaut are available in their countries as well especially in ASEAN nations.

US, UK and countries in Europe can do the with tinned food especially.

That will be more then enough I think. United Nations, Red Cross, and other volunteer organizations inside Myanmar should head the mission. All other should assist them what is necessary.

If some countries do not trust their own people such as UN agancies Red cross agancies and other agencies who would they trust? All these agencies should do is to get more volunteers from within Myanmar or Asean nations , India China or Russia which all of them have good relations with Myanmar.

In Myanmar saying " Ahlu Shin Mhan Thi Aung - Munndutt Tain Tet ". You don't have to climb on to the top of the pandal post to show you are the doner.
Somebody is very keen to take a leading role. I am the boss. nobody else.

Well how sincere and honest these some nations would be now, nobody can tell, but in the past these some countries are the ones who tried to kill the people of Myanmars by all means.

Because of one stupid woman or for one stupid woman. So called Noble lauriate. What noble about her for starving the people, denying all their rights, I don't have a clue. This is not the time to talk about her.

Should Myanmar be wise to let them approach, freely? Besides there are those stupid opposition who have been exploiting the situation.

Sr. Gen Than Shwe, and SPDC are right to be careful, cautious, no harm in putting a little bit over cautious.

If you really want to do it, you can do it. You don't need any excuse. There is nothing we can not do . The only thing is the " WILL "

As I have said many times, this is purely a humanitarian matter, M/S Condolisa Rice acknowledged that, this is pure humanitarian matter. That means nobody should exploit politically, economically or socially on this grave situation. That is the theories any way. If they do they are not human beings at all. No matter who or what they are. US , UK or even France.

There were lots of things could not be done in Myanmar before this disaster.
Because the country was in a poor state. Communications, transports, electricitry etc. Why? Your guess is as good as mind. Those are the realities.

Having said that, this disaster is making soem people realised that Myanmar needs foreign investments, tourists, loans and aid, to be ready and prepared for the future. This may beseen as exploitation. But this is not for me. This is not for Sr Gen Than Shwe, not for Ma Su Kyi either.

The dykes along the rivers are to be rebuild, Villages to be moved away from the banks etc., etc. New buildings to be able to stand against strong windor earth quake to a certain extent. Road , bridges schools and hospitals need to be rebuild as soon as possible.

It should not be the aid confine only to food, clothing and shelters.

Unfair comments, unfair remarks and unfair judgements should all be stopped.

What should not be happened is like one Kalama Lay.
I remember a joke when I was young, it may be a little bit dirty for some.
it is similer to Mi Aye Nha Khar Nar . Mi AYe was a Myanmar girl , but this was about a Kalama Lay, who was watching the cattles, near a hay stack. . This clever son of the village headman said he pity on her. One day the girl had to say, " Thanarr De - Thanarr De Ne - Nint Otsa Akonlone Win Thwar Be Ako " which means " all your pities are going in all the way, my brother" .
You can make out what it was.

What I want to say is , bring me the monies, I will build you a heaven on earth. I mean it Polaris.

Regards and have a nice day,

Thunderbolts.

Thunderbolts, Polaris,

Thank you for the support for this idea, I feel encouraged. I have contacted various agencies to promote it among people who can make use of it. If you are a reader and have a way to spread it through decision makers and newspapers can I invite you to do so.
Thanks
nayting

You guys can discuss this/that here/there who/what/ why/where educated/uneducated/ connected/not connected high/low anything you want. Can even bring on the highly rank, well educated professionals. By the way why is the high guys reluctant to participate? Are they made of gold and not flesh and blood and so high that they are not worthy to participate? As far as I am concerned I do not see any human made of gold except of course the brick statues with eyeliners and earrings, lipsticks and cosmetic Buddha (in Burmese Boat-Da) statue itself. Of course Buddha (is he gay or what?) has pretty pretty face with long ears, long nose, slanting eye lids with massive cosmetics not to mention he is made of gold (covering).

Christians in Myanmar are nothing, not even a human being for they are tortured, rape, force to be Buddhists, no opportunities, no prospects, Churches are destroyed, oppressed, repressed, Pastors are killed, the entire races are murdered or forced to flee and so on. The massive ethnic cleaning focus on Christian dominated races. Karens or Chins or Kachins or even Bamars of Christian faith are discriminated BIG time in Burma/Myanmar. These evil regime even force Christians to become Buddhist and wants Burma to be Buddhist nation. MYANMAR is a NATION (where all kinds of races/religions have equal rights/justice) not BUDDHISM and that is why Buddhist Monks are murdered (punishment) in massive numbers.

Remember the Empire of Bagan when it is in its height of kingdom era, there are 4 millions stupas standing and now what happened? Only 4,000 ( and that is 0.1%) drastically reduced to rubbles not to mention those 4,000 some of them need repairs because of earthquake damage.

Don't be offended if I want to express what I think or opinion or what I believe? I believe/know one day the world famous SHWE DA GON pagoda will be in rubbles but the one thing that I don't know is when?

In conclusion 1.5 million (mostly Buddhists) people are facing famine, starvation, disease and even death and yet, Tatmadaw is robbing International aids for their families. They even give aid and asistence to those who support them (like thunderjolts or Polio?he is polio) and ignore opposition victims. The rice bowl or rice basket or paddy fiels of Myanmar is now become killing rotting fields by Nargis.

Always remember, TRUTH cannot be change nor can be hide or altered. TRUTH is eternal. TRUTH has witness. Do not pretend there is no discrimination towards Christians and oppression towards Christian faith inside Myanmar. TRUTH and JUSTICE goes hand in hand.

No solutions can bring Burma to back to prosperity unless this faith/religion discrimination is totally wipe out from the mentality of the rulers, whoever they are.

Dear friends and colleagues,

Just a thought.

What about getting the assistance of former President Jimmy Carter to do some high level diplomacy.

Another possible person who might be interested is John Edwards. He is now doing
poverty alleviation work according to a CNN (Cable News Network) news cast.

Metta,

Km

UKMyaing,

I am surprise, really surprise that you suggest former US President JIMMY CARTER. The man who created tensions with Iran, lost the office. The man who wanted to have missiles sites in Myanmar. Who bribed drug warlord Khun Za with the recognation of Homong as Independent Shan State. His opium trade as his legitimat business. His fight against Myanma Tatmadaw as legitimate struggle for independence of Shan State.

Are you a very simple person or a very stupid, I am not sure.

Peace Corp of J.F Kennady, Carter Centre of Jimmy Carter, and other former US Presidents' foundations. What do you think they are for UKM?

You seem to know nothing about what is happening in thee world and who are causing the problems in the name of FREEDOM. Whose FREEDOM are they talking about? You over look or you pretend you don't know?

I also have doubts that you know the meaning of FREEDOM< INDEPENDENCE and SOVERIGNITY. I don't think you know the real meaning of those precious words.

I can accept your loyalty to US, because you are living in US. US feed you, US takes care of you. You are not the only Myanmar in US. I also see that you do not forget as Myanmar, you have your interest in Myanmar and its people, UKM. But what is in your mind I don't know. I doubt very much now.

Though I have many more to say to you on this, at the moment this much is more than enough, I think, because if I say more. you may be thinking I am attacking you. Is there anything for me to attack you UKM? I hope not.

But nice talking to you, like always,

Respects,

Thunderbolts.
