The rate of inflation in Burma is the second highest in the world. It’s estimated 1500% (2006) after Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) of with 1700%. Unemployment rate is estimated 25.15% and poverty rate is 84.73% (2006). Child poverty rate is the worst. It’s estimated 92.45% (2006). Average salary for an entry-level job worker is 5000-7000 kyat/month ($6/month) meanwhile average family for five (three children) needs 2000-3000 kyats/day just for surviving with two of low-grade nutrient meals.
Shweminthar, whoever and sooooo etc,, With that sort of figures, how dare you to say Burma’s economy, tourism --blah blah blah is booming under the SPDC rule????
Only people don’t eat rice like most of Myanmar and people without being conscience like most of Myanmar, shamelessly shout like that. What do you eat?? Something which stray dogs in Burma like???
Let me tell you those of you the slaves of PRC’s economical and geographical: Myanmar generals, lackeys, cronies and hays-keepers, nowadays people in Burma are working very much harder than ever. On the other hand, they are so poor than ever.
*When you travel around the country by train or by bus, you will see the living conditions of people at roadsides are in the most appalling. It’s everywhere from the upper to lower parts of Burma.
Early1980’s, those people were still able to have their own shelters with few pieces of soft-wood lumbers, bamboos and thatches. I’m not talking BSPP was better but SPDC is absolutely worse than BSPP.
Since the last 10 years, those people have been making their makeshift shelters with a few pieces of rice bags (gunny bags or snakeskin bags). Even so, they are not able to make it with a proper shelter.
You can see several hundreds of under 10-year-old children are collecting some materials from the city’s waste sites (garbage disposals) for their daily meals. Parents can't afford to pay for tremendous schooling fees and the prolems for daily meals. Those children should have been in schools for their future.
*A bag of rice – lowest quality is 5,000 kyats, which was 300 kyats (late-1980’s).
*A cup of coffee-not with condensed milk is 75 kyats, which was 75 pyas to 1.25 kyats.
*A viss of cooking oil (edible peanuts oil) is 3500 kyats, which was 100 kyats.
*A viss of chicken is 3500 kyats, which was 125 kyats.
*A viss of prawn is 8500 kyats, which was 140 kyats.
*A bunch of vegetables is 75 kyats, which was 50 pyas to 75 pyas.
Shamed on you!!!!
So those of you, shamelessly are shouting and barking so loud that Myanmar’s economy is getting better!! What the hack is booming??? Booming what??? Yourself and your gang is weathier than ever?
