I AM MOHAMMED DAOUD KHAN, THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF AFGHANISTAN
Born on July 18, 1909, I was appointed Prime Minister in September 1953.
My ten-year tenure was noted for the foreign policy turn to the Soviet Union. Because, I was for the reunification of all the Pashtun under Afghanistan, including the ones in Pakistan, this country closed our common border and I
turned to Soviet Union for trade and armament.
I am also known for radically improved living conditions in southwestern Afghanistan, and tentative steps towards the emancipation of women. Because my disastrous policy toward Pakistan, I was obliged to resign in March 1963
On July 17, 1973, I seized power from my cousin and brother-in-law King Zahir with the assistance of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan. Departing from tradition, and for the first time in Afghan history, I did not proclaim myself Shah, establishing instead a republic with me as President.
On April 27, 1978, a communist coup d'état gained ground slowly over the next twenty-four hours. With most of my family, I was shot in the presidential palace the following day
This week, no winner

To see this week contest, go down at the bottom of this page
I AM KASTURBA, THE WIFE OF MOHANDAS GANDHI
I was born on 11th April 1869. My father was a well-to-do businessman
When Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi) and I were both at a young tender age of 13, we were married. It was an arranged marriage. I was illiterate then, but Gandhi taught me to read and write.
Throughout my life I was a steadfast companion to Gandhi in all his experiments in South Africa and India.
My public life began after I joined my husband in South Africa in 1897. From 1904-14, I was the heart and soul of the 'Phoenix Settlement' and from Kasturbai I became Kasturba-mother (Ba) to the inmates. During the 1913 protest against working conditions for Indians in South Africa, I was arrested and sentenced to three months in a hard labor prison.
After we returned to India in 1915, on numerous subsequent occasions, I took Gandhi's place when he was under arrest, and was always closely associated with the struggle in India, giving encouragement to women volunteers
Although, I identified myself with my great husband, I did not accept his ideas unless I understood them and considered them right. Gandhi often had to work hard to convince me.
I was a deeply religious woman and following the ideologies of my husband I renounced all caste distinctions.
I suffered from chronic bronchitis. The strict and trough regimen of ashram life took its toll and I caught pneumonia. On 22 February 1944 on Mahashivratri Day, because a severe heart attack, I breathed my last on the lap of her beloved husband.
People say that I was a delicate, small but elegant lady, she was simple, straightforward and methodical.

WHO I AM ?
I AM NGO DINH DIEM, FIRST PRESIDENT OF SOUTH VIETNAM
I was born on 3 January 1901, into an aristocratic, Roman Catholic family with close ties to the Emperor. I served in Emperor Bao Dai's administration under French colonial rule until 1933.
During and after World War II, I opposed both French colonial rule and the communist-led national independence movement. As independence forces battled the French, I spent several years in exile, gaining crucial American support in hopes of leading a postwar government.
With a strong US support, I became prime minister of South Vietnam in 1954 just as the defeated French forces left, with Bao Dai as head of state. On 23 October 1955, I organized a referendum on either re-establishing monarchy with Bao Bai or founding a republic with me as president. The result was largely rigged and I won
The peace accord called for elections in 1956 and unification of the divided country. With American support, Ngo cancelled the elections, knowing full well that Ho Chi Minh would have easily won the presidency.
Over the next seven years, I presided over an increasingly corrupt, nepotistic and repressive regime, systematically favoring the Catholics.
Communist guerrillas backed by North Vietnam launched a new rebellion, but a civil disobedience campaign led by the country's Buddhist monks contributed more directly to his downfall. Brutal persecution of the dissident monks in 1963 damaged the regime's already shaky international reputation.
With American support, Vietnamese generals overthrew me on 1st November 1963 and assassinate me the following day

WHO I AM ?
I AM JIME SINGYE WANGCHUCK KING OF BHUTAN (1974-2006)
Here is the explanation given by ZIA
I was born on November 11, 1955 and was the fourth Dragon King (Druk Gyalpo) of Bhutan from 1972 to 2006.
I acceded to the throne at the age of 17, in 1972, after the sudden death of my father, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Also called "Druk Gyalpo" meaning "Dragon King", I was educated in Bhutan and the United Kingdom
When I was formally crowned on June 2, 1974 I was the youngest monarch in the world and the coronation was noted for inviting foreign dignitaries, thus signaling the end of the long isolation of the country.
In a royal edict issued on December 14, 2006, I announced that I would begin handing over power to his eldest son Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck immediately
I am married to four queens (all of whom are sisters) and has five sons and five daughters. Several of my children have been educated abroad.
