I AM INDIRA GANDHI WITH MY FATHER'S FRIEND M. GANDHI

This week, I leave Limsing to explain the picture

This young girl is Indira Ganhdi,who would grow up to be known as the Iron Lady of India,sitting by the bed of Mohandas (Mahatma) Ganhdi as he recovers from one of his protest fasts.

They were both however not related, legally or by bloodline. The Mahatma nevertheless did play a significant influence in her life.

The Mahatma visits to her parents Jawahalal and Kamala Nehru convinced them to the great cause of Indian independence from the British Empire. Jawahalal Nehru would be the first Prime Minister of an Independent India in 1947.

In 1942 Indira married a journalist, Ferosa Gandhi who as far as I know was not related to Mohandas Gandhi. Between 1966 and 1977 Indira became the Prime Minister of India, an event which is a tremendous boost to the status of women in India, who were traditionally subservant to men.

Again in 1980, Indira was re-elected as Prime Minister. She was assassinated in 1984.

I AM SOONG MEI-LY, WIFE OF CHIANG KAI-SHEK

I am Soong Mei-ly, the second wife of General Chiang Kai-shek and sister-in-law of Dr Sun Yat-sen.

My mother was very opposed to this wedding. Chiang had to divorce and change of religion because my family was Christian

I AM THAILAND KING RAMA VIII

I am Ananda Mahidol, born in 20 september 1925, who became the king Rama VIII on 2 March 1935 after king Rama VII abdicated

A a child, I was sent to study in Switzerland and I came back to Thailand only after World War II

On 9 June 1946, I was found shot dead in my bedroom in the Grand Palace

I AM BENAZIR BHUTTO

I am Benazir Bhutto. Born in 1953, I am the daugther of Ali Bhutto. I have been twice the Prime Minister of Pakistan, from 1988 to 1990, the the first woman to lead a Muslim country, and again from 1993 to 1996.

I was assassinated on December 27th 2007, minutes after addressing my supporters

The picture has been taken in 1972 at the Simla summit between my father and Indian Prime Minister Indira Ghandi
