But in all fairness, the criteria should have been shown alongside this topic question like "Why are Filipinos happier than any other Asians in terms of...".
Such proclamation does seem weird huh?  |

Filipinos are very nice people and more easy than some others countries to understand for us, the Occident peoples. But that is not a proof thats they are the happier in Asia.

again?  so we go back to the basic-
what is happiness? in order for us to really say
that pinoys are happier than any other asians
jacques always ask, what makes this country and it's people
happier than any other asian nations when there are
political unrests, corruptions, murders, the south with
its muslim extremists, poverty, - the negative
factors?
perhaps other people won't understand. I said earlier
in my opinion, it is not happy- it is surrender..
we can be sad and smile at the same time
discontended but have sweet dispositions at the same time
so we always, smile and we have sweet dispositions
and we go to karaoke bars to sing our miseries away
is that being happy?
maybe yes to others..

In my opinion, happines is a personal feeling, and it doesn't have to have anything with the real situation you're in. Beeing poor, attacked, without work, etc doesn't mean you can't be happy.
In Serbia we have a saying that goes a bit like this:
"The happiest man isn't the one who has the most, but the one who wishes (needs) the least"
