Of course, it's good to assume that your own country is your favorite destination by default. But we all have our favorites.

What Asian spot is your most favorite and why?

My favorite Asian destination is Singapore. I just love the Lion City for being the melting pot of culture in the region.

Yes, I totally agree with you that our country is the favorite sport. We still have a lot of untapped places where you can make it for ECO-TOURISM but we still have along way to go as we still don't have regular electricity, poor transport and communication.

Besides that I like BALI among the places I have visited. I love to visit Phillipine and still not materialize as yet.

Singapore is okay for shopping but after a few visits and a few days, there not many things to see. Night safari is good but safari in south africa is much better.

Palau is also good for relaxation.

Macau is one of my favorites as I love gambling.

Beijing is good for variety of food and shopping.

I like Bangkok too as you can just go out of your hotel and enjoy sticky rice with papaya salad and pork barbecue.

New Dehli is also good as you can taste all the food from several states in one place and a visit to DHARAMSALA, remind me of Switzerland.

We still have a lot good places in Asia where we can enjoy food and relexation.

Isn't that a difficult question?

Speaking for myself, I have a crush for Asia. Thus I run this web site.

But my favorite place?

It is wherever I go, actually.

China is magnificent, of course. So much to experience, an exciting culture, great food, beautiful landscapes, etc.

But then you have Indonesia. I have been there during turbulent times, like when Suharto was ousted in 1998. But people are always so nice. I just love being with them. And much of Indonesia is very beautiful.

Let us not forget Cambodia. People are poor and are suffering from a brutal political history. But they always make me feel at home. Visiting the Angkor monuments in itself makes the country a top destination.

And Pokkha, the Philippines is great also. I am very fascinated by the mixture of the local culture, the Spanish history and a dash of American hollywood.

I could go on and on. I had a very nice visit to Burma some years ago, I love eating sushi in Tokyo and walking in the multicultural streets of Georgetown, Malaysia.

Then there is Hong Kong, where I lived for three years. You do not find such a vibrant city anywhere else in the world.

So it is difficult to choose.

And I am eager to hear what other members think!

Wow! I envy you John, thakinmyo for having gone to different places! Traveling is such a great learning experience, especially in Asia. The whole experience of it is simply different. Am I right John?

Plus most budget-conscious travelers presumably prefer to visit places in Asia for affordability. Going and moving around here get come so cheap!
