Mumbai is one of India's most cosmopolitan cities, much of its housing is splintered along ethnic and religious lines. There are predominantly Muslim, Roman Catholic and Hindu areas. And then there are extensive vegetarian-only stretches, some of which occupy desirable patches of real estate along the waterfront.

Filipinos are the second largest immigrant population in the United States, with many entering the U.S. (and successfully passing their U.S. licensing boards!) as doctors, nurses, and medical technicians. In fact, the Philippines produces more U.S. nurses than any other country in the world.
"There are more foreign fighters in Afghanistan now than ever before,?" Gen. Abdul Rahim Wardak told editors and reporters at The Washington Times.
Foreign fighters are entering Afghanistan from Pakistan in greater numbers than at any time since the Taliban was ousted in 2001, Afghanistan's defense minister said yesterday.
The minister also complained that some coalition members — notably Italy, Germany and Japan — have made only half-hearted efforts in rebuilding Afghanistan's security institutions.
