Two parallel forces are deadlock in the struggle for power after the concealed referendum that already seal the fate of many power mongers who are eyeing on grabbing the new positions that will be available.
I agree with the author. The inner struggle for future ruling is on going for more than 4 decades of military ruling creates the high ranking officers hold on to power at any cost thus the struggle of traditional Commanders’ grab and the new comers like USDA militant political wing that will take hold of the majority of power, clashes. They omit Aung San Suu Kyi and NLD in this power grabing fight that will be left within themselves to sort it out. The strong, clever and quick, will survive.

Group A. The first power group, the real military high ranking officers led by General Maung Aye.
Group B. The second power group, the militant political wing USDA which consist of mixture/hybrid military officers and civilians led by aging General Than Shwe.

Within Group A, there will be power struggle within themselves. The OTS (Officers Training School) vs. DSA (Defense Services Academy) like the author analyzed.
