Your are probabely an older A.O. member than me. I just joined in February last year as an ordinary member, and I have always this free status.

When John (Sandwan) suggested me to be active in the forums because he was attrated by my profile, I was not very interested, because I thank, at this time, that I have others things to do than to be involved in this kind of things.

I just tried some times to please to him and I had fascinating exchanges with others members, mainly on Burma.

I am an Asia watcher, but mainly a China one. I have been several times to Tibet with a lot of Dalai Lama pictures to give to everybody, and as a French official, in the 1880's I plead for Beijing to have an agreement with the current Dalai Lama.

I was expecting what is now happening in Lhasa... but for next year

I am, as you, an ordinary member of A.O. but I want to help it because it is a wonderfull place to fight for freedom in Asia : in Burma, in Tibet, in Malaysia, in the Philippes... but I do it by small touchs by shared articles, political cartoons, by "Jacques eyes on Asia", Picture of the the day.
