About time for military coup in Burma. New wave of reform minded young officers taking over the old and outdated paranoid grumpy generals. Than Shwe is in the critical psychosis state and did not trust no one including his followers. Each general is watching his back and no one knows for sure where the regime (spdc) will go. Their 7 step road map is stuck and will take a long time (25 years) to finished half the steps let alone to finished the entire 7 steps. No only Than Shwe is physically ill but also mentally ill too. Their bunker mentality of retreating into the Pyinmana jungles can be seen. Many military men themselves are planning or preparing the aftermath of Than Shwe. The political situation of Burma is very bleak and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi herself had said to her people to ‘prepare for the worst’ for she knew very well that Than Shwe is becoming more and more unstable, mentally and physically. Any time military coup could occur. The nature of military power mongers are waiting for the right moment at the right place. In their struggle for power, only the stronger survive with quick moves. When Than Shwe no longer can rule day to day events of running the country, many opportunists are waiting their chance to become another dictator, just like their predecessors Ne Win, Saw Maung and Than Shwe have shown them as examples.
It is no secret the Army had demolished Khin Nyunt led Military Intelligence so within the military itself it is deeply divided not to mention the recent crackdown on Buddhist monks which anger many Generals. Like I said, only the strong can survive in this cannibalism ideology of ruthless, emotionless regime that destroys the nation, religion, culture and the people.
Jesus Christ once said, “those who lived by the sword, will die by the sword” so the military will end by the military itself. There is no doubt in my mind next General is waiting in the wing to grab the power when the old one is finished, alive or dead.
