A very important service at Asia Observer is members sharing articles with each other. The articles submitted by the members are listed on the front page of the site - and the order is determined by how the shared articles are rated by other users.

That means that you - the members - are the editors of Asia Observer's front page.

Here are some points about how you use this service:

Everybody can rate the articles on the front page (only once for each article, though). However, to share an article with others you need to be registered as a member.

We encourage you to share articles you have found interesting surfing the web. The articles should be within the concept of Asia Observer (everything that has to do with Asian affairs)

Click on "Share an article" and a submit form will appear. Here you fill in a headline and a short description of the article (please make it short!). You should also fill in the URL for where the article is located and select a country category where it fits. Click on the disc icon and your submission is saved.

It will now be on top of the "New" list. This list shows the latest submissions.

Click on the headline to read an article submitted by others.

To rate it you move the mouse over the stars. Click when the desired number of stars are yellow.

[li]Next time you update the front page, the article will have changed position according to the average rating.
