Born on 14 May 1953, he is the only one living child of king Sihanouk and his third wife Monique
His passed his childhood in Prague and then was in France four 20 years were he wa a classic dance teacher and Cambodia's ambassador to UNESCO.
After Sihanouk abdicated, he was elected kin on 14 October 2004.
His father, Sihanouk, dominated the country political life during 60 years
