Who are Asia's most powerful women? 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 19
Linsi shared this article about Forbes' annual list of the world's most powerful women.

Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi and Philippine president Gloria Arroyo are among the highest-ranked among nine Asian women on the list.

The chief executive and executive director of Singapore's Temasek Holdings, Ho Ching, is in 30th position.

Do you agree with their choice? Are there other Asian women who rather should be named among the most powerful in the world?

What means a powerful woman ? Wu Yi and Arroyo are in polical area, the president of Temasek on the economics one. What are the criteria ?

I understand that the two "ladies" of Bangladesh are loosing place and also Wegawati, but why Sonia Gandhi ? She is the president of the Congress Party on power in India. It is not because a stranger she renounced to be Prime Minister when she led her party to victory that she don't keep a strong power.

I don't consider the President of Temasek Holding PTe Ltd is one of the most powerful lady executives in Asia.
If she was that powerful she would have questioned ex-PM of Thailand's breaches of human rights and Thai law and taken significant action to cease the slaughter of thousands of innocent Thai people. Did she do enough or anything at all to save the lives of these Thai citizens ? It would be quite interesting to find out what power she used to influence the end of these terrible crimes.
It took thirty years for Temasek Holdings (apparently set up to benefit the Singapore nation) to make its accounts public for the first time (Tuesday, Oct 12 2004). If it purpose was to provide ongoing and considerable aid to Singaporean people (not just Ministers and their mate) why were their account hidden for thirty year. The Singaporean nation should obtain the first thirty years account and audit then to ensure thier interest were place first and foremost.
Secrecy sometimes allows incorrect management when lareg amounts of money have been involved. Wht are they exempted from filling detailed accounts ? For what ? Has the board of Temasek provided an acceptable explanation the the nation of Singapore?
Temasek Holdings PTE Ltd interests in Thailand a fairly substantial. During the last ten years what has their corporation and its subsidiaries done financialy and otherwise to assist citizens of Thailand ? Have they organised and onging methods of feeding back to Thailand an impressive amount of charity style support ? Thailand should know what they have done to help assist the future to be safer and more secure.
How much in the last thirty three years has Temasek done to help Thailand erase corruption ? Since they claim to be so squeaky clean (some olive oil might help they wouldn't be so annoying) it should be a primary interest... What have they been doing ?

So I sent this letter to your Ministers and Judges.......
Dear Mr Lee Kuan Yew

This is for your Prime Minister. I thought if you gave it to him it will be a surprise.

If its' purpose was to provide ongoing and considerable aid to Singaporean people (not just Ministers and their mates) why were their accounts hidden for thirty year. The Singaporean nation should obtain the first thirty years accounts and audit then to ensure their interests were place first and foremost. I imagine all your honest Ministers will be completely in support of this plan.

I suspect any ethical Judge in Singapore would over-ride their exemption to assist national interests. So I have copied a few of your Judges as well.

Secrecy sometimes allows incorrect management when lareg amounts of money have been involved. Wht are they exempted from filling detailed accounts ? For what ? Has the board of Temasek provided an acceptable explanation the the nation of Singapore? I know the Singapore Government thought, we'll make it surprise like a birthday present, thats why we won't tell them ! Bloody long wait 30 years.

Temasek Holdings PTE Ltd interests in Thailand a fairly substantial. During the last ten years what has their corporation and its subsidiaries done financially and otherwise to assist citizens of Thailand ? Have they organised any onging methods of feeding back to Thailand an impressive amount of charity style support ? Thailand should know what they have done to help assist the future to be safer and more secure.
How much in the last thirty three years has Temasek done to help Thailand erase corruption ? Since they claim to be so squeaky clean (some olive oil might help they wouldn't be so annoying) it should be a primary interest... What have they been doing ?

Naturally I'll tell the whole world about my concerns outside feedback oftens provides interests solutions.

By the way ... Did you know I am the same Erik Young that advised Thailand to take up "The Iceland Project" and freeze all Shinwatra and his gang's assets ? Manchester City FC shares should get frozen soon too. I have helped Thailand seize more than US$3 Billion because I care about the Thais. Do You?

Re:Who are Asia's most powerful women? 1 Year, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
So Mr Lee Kuan Yew why was it a secret for thirty years ?
Well Mr Young by making it secret I couldn't tell anyone anything and wouldn't have to lie and be corrupted
Thanks Lee now I understand, very smart, a bit like not admitting anything..

Dear Sirs

What is going to happen is the Lee Kuan Yew dynasty is going because they continue killing people by hanging them. 48 years of their control will end and so will executions. Their assets will be seized pending investigation of 30 years of Temasek Holdings PTE Ltd hidden accounting which the people of Singapore had a right without special exemption to inspect.
They also may have failed to do enough to save the lives of thousands of Thai people. Your next Lee Kuan Yew to be replaced with modern democracy and FREEDOM

As you will see Temasek Holdings PTE Ltd (Holding Group) appears to have spent thirty years hiding its financial statements from its intended beneficiaries the Singapore people. They have subsidiaries world wide see www.temasek.com.sg and any in your country they should investigated. Please do this to provide assistance to the Singapore people who are not free to speak out under the Yew Dynasty, which has to go.

Since they are going someone will be needed to show someone the 'ropes' but they won't need ropes anymore so it isn't necessary.

Singapore holds the present world record for executions by hanging per capita more than three times greater than Saudi Arabia. They thought it was a potential Olympic event.

After 48 years the Yew dynasty appears to be splitting apart. Personally I prefer teak it doesn't have bits hanging off it..

Re:Who are Asia's most powerful women? 1 Year, 1 Month ago Karma: 5
power is power whether it is used in a good or bad way.

I cannot comment that much on the lady executive of Temasek Holdings of Singapore. Living here for 7 years, I am still an outsider looking in...

nevertheless, if a woman can hold that much influence as to change the course of life for people of Singapore, then indeed she is powerful..the question of whether she uses that influence for the betterment of Singaporeans or Thais is another question.
