Detained Rohingya dies in hospital
OUR CORRESPONDENT, COX'S BAZAR

Aug 11: One detained Rohingya died in Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital in the morning of August 8 at about 7.30 am.
According to the Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital sources, Wali Ullah (52), son of the late Syed Ahmed, of Cahaioro village under Akiyab, capital of Rakhine state of Myanmar, died in Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital in the morning. Sources said that he was admitted to the hospital in the morning at about 5.30 for illness. Later, he died in the hospital under treatment.

According to the Cox's Bazar Jail Super sources, Wali Ullah was arrested by the Teknaf thana police due to illegally crossing the border in 2005 last. Teknaf police filed a case against him under Passport Act. Later, he was sent to Cox's Bazar jail and he was under triail.

Police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for post mortem.
