bad news for Permanent Residents in Singapore.

The government will not allow Permanent Residents (PRs) to claim for childcare subsidy for their children.

The subsidy is pegged at $150 sgd a month. Removing this is a big blow for most Permanent Residents not to mention the 30%-150% increased in rental properties in Singapore.

My..my..I have really come to love Singapore..but the longer I stay here as a Permanent Resident..I fell like the standard of living keeps getting higher but the pay scale does not grow with it (unless you take more responsibilities or get promoted).


THis is really a big blow for PR who brought their families in Singapore so as not to deal with homesickness.
