I was happy that today there was not only two or three members sharing articles. Thank you for the new "sharing members"
We are 300 hundred members qualified to share articles.
When you read an article somewhere the question is : Is it interesting to make this article known to all the members and guests of Asia Observer.
Does this article is so interesting to be archived in the One year shared articles
We need covering all the parts of Asia (30 countries) and a good balance between political and social issues.
The main question : If somebody in the world is opening A.O. for the first. Do we give him a good reason to come back tomorrow ?

This last days, I saw more and more forums with the copy of one article which don't are the start of a debate.
Why don't put them in the "shared articles" section ?

Summer holiday time is coming for all of us. So everybody participation in shared articles and forums could ease the more active members burden.
You have been almost 7000 people reading this topic, why not to be 7000 actives members ?
You, the guests. Don't be afraid to become a member as I was the first time. Our privacy is completly saved and no pasms (thay was my main concern).
If you find somewhere something you think very interesting on Asia. Please share it with us. You have just to be a member : that's free and save
This message is from a just ordinary member

Since I became a member to Asia Observer, since months ago, I ask me what are you doing there ?, why to spend so much time participating to animate this website by sharing articles and on forums with no personnal financial interest ?
I need to know what are looking for our 300 hundred and plus members, but also what are they looking for our thousands of guests ?
I need to understand that before to decide if I continue to take part on this website or to leave it.
Please, if you are not a member, be a remporary one just to answer me, because realy, I don't know what to do.
Do you think that Asia Observer has to become a main news agengy (politics, economy and society) on Asia (around 30 countries)without to be obliged to surch on other websites or just a "people site"
Please, help me to take a decision.

hi jacques,
allow me to innitiate replies here-
Websites like these have been mushrooming all over
and sometimes we have the ups and downs.
I have experienced similar situation in other
websites and message boards.
Personal blogs and group discussions are also
hot sites nowadays and people tend to
make their own groups.
Maybe all we can do is to contribute and inform
people, they will always come and read.
yes read maybe but i believe there will be people
who will come to share more. Let us just be patient
enough and let things run its course.
It's just maybe, we have more time to share
and have more internet access than others.
Asia observer is a great site-
we have all the news from all sources
digested in this channel.
To contribute is a great task and i think
we just continue to help by being available
for people.
keep up the good work jacques. I strongly think
that it is much appreciated.
cheers
linsi

Since June 26 we have a new member named Gabe. He is what Asia Observer need as an active member. Everyday he put in "shared articles" what he thinks is the main fact in his country. He is the proof that quality is better than quantity.
I have a dream : one member in every of the 30 Asian countries giving us every day the main facts in their country ? So no need to watch so many news agencies and newspapers teeling the same things.
Yes please, among our thousand of guest, who agree to be Asia observer "special correspondant" for his (her) country ?
I hope we soon have 29 others Gabe
