I love Bali too, beautiful place, great sea food by the sea, and I love the sea.
Maybe some other time, you would like to visit BANGKA (http://bangka.go.id/wisata_alam.htm or http://www.infobangka.com/), it's not as sophisticated as Bali with its complete features, but it's worth to try and especially if you like a quiet place, this might suit you

Yeah, the resto where they bring all kind of food to your table and you pay only what you eat is very common here, we call it a PADANG RESTAURANT, it's all over Indonesia, and the meal has more spices, my frenz from India enjoy the meal very much coz it's quite similar to Indian food.
Borobudur temple is in Central Java, I've been there too, imagine how they build such great temple with limited tools (compare to now, how we build sky scrapers ... 
)
