What is a nice and cheap place to stay in Phnom Penh? I always give preference to good atmosphere.

I was in Phnom Penh in September and stayed in Billabong Hotel. It was very nice and withdrawn from the mezzy traffic. Very responsive staff. The hotel even had a swimming pool. I think I paid about 40 USD for the room.

You will love Cambodia.
I think it would be best to stay along the river. Nice location and lots of restaurants of bars.
There are plenty of hotels and guest houses in the area. One I have heard nice things about is California 2 Guesthouse. Might be worth trying.
