Have you ever been discriminated because of your race, color, gender or because you're a person with a disability? How did you manage it?
Asians get treated differently against on account of their race and the way we look.
Why do events of discrimination happen?

There are so many snide remarks on American TV that mock Filipinos--can be funny and dehumanizing, but MOST times, they can get really extreme...
It's not like I cry or whatever hehe, it's just that I've learned to accept that there are some pinoys around the world who make us fellow pinoys look bad, but that doesn't make me hate being pinay =P I guess people just need to acquire a higher level of understanding and filtering whenever they watch TV. PEACE!!!

Interesting comments - and a load of hooey
The places where I've experienced - seen and heard - the most discrimination is in Asian countries.
The comments and treatment afforded to westerners in many Asian countries is many times more racist and discriminatory than most Asian people experience in western countries.
In the same context my first-hand experience is no-one discriminates against their own people on the grounds of race, financial, social, religious or mental illness grounds than Asians.
It's not for no small reason that many of the leading human rights abusing nations in the world are located in Asia.
Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Burma, India to name just a few.
While many Asian people like to highlight occasional incidents in the west, what happens in their own countries they ignore

Post edited by: photo_journ, at: 2007/10/03 11:13
