Theme of the coming Congress

To help our friends to better understand China, I take liberty in using my limited knowledge on this immense & ever evolving country in writing a few lines to explain the Theories “forged” with figures employed by the CPC. These figures will still be utilized in the coming 70 years and more as Deng Xiaoping has “decreed” these main ideological lines to be kept for at least 100 years upon his decision on Opening-up Reform in 1978. (cf footnote 'a'

“Four Cardinal Principles” XiGeJiBenYuanZe
(Deng Xiaoping during the 3rd Plenum of 11th Party Congress to implement the Four Modernization = Industry, Agriculture, National Defense, Science & Technology)
1) Keep to the Socialist Road
2) Uphold the Dictatorship of the Proletariat
3) Uphold the Leadership of the Communist Party
4) Uphold Marxism & Mao Zedong thoughts

“One Centre Two Basic Points” YiGeZongXin, NianGeJiBenDian
- One Centre : Centered on Economic Construction (Development)
- Two Basic Points : 1) Adhere to the 4 cardinal principles 2) Persevere in the Opening-up Reform

“Three Representations” SanGeDaiBiao
(Jiang Zemin during the 16th Party Congress)
The Communist Party represents
1) The Highest Productivity
2) The Most Advanced Culture
3) The Fundamental Interests of the Broadest Masses

“Four Perseverance” XiGeJianDingBuYi
(Hu Jintao speech at Provincial Official Training at the Party School on 25 June 2007 for the 17th Party Congress convened later today )
1) Emancipation of the mind (cf footnote 'b'
2) Reform & Opening-up
3) Scientific Development & Social Harmony
4) All-round development of a well-off society

The media published the call to “study” the “Three Representations” from Hui LiangYu (Member of the current Politburo). The call to “study” the “Four Perseverance” from Xi Jinping (Party Secretary of Shanghai) is also published. Xi Jinping called for “Four Leads” in the “integral” construction: Economy, Politic, Culture, Society in Shanghai.

'a' I have no intention in making propaganda, but want to share some knowledge on the « CPC Language », hence the environment. Be reassured, even the Mainland Chinese are learing

'b' This means adherence to Marx, Mao & Deng thoughts

16 SEPTEMBER 2007

The Chinese Communist Party will select this week a new generation of Party’s leaders through the 17th National Party Congress, to be followed by a selection of key state leaders.

Although Chairman and President Hu Jintao and Politburo standing member and Premier Wen Jiaobao will continue to play top leadership roles, a significant portion of the next leadership will be filled by a number of younger competent technocrats who have had extensive administrative experience as well as solid academic training in jurisprudence or the social sciences.
