Regular visitors to Asia Observer probably have noticed that I have made a few changes to the site. The main purpose has been to simplify the site and focus more clearly on what most users come here for, namely to use the forum. Also we had some technical problems with the news feeds, making the country pages outdated.
Changes include:
- More visible display of the latest forum posts on the front page
- News feeds and country pages have been removed. These did not work properly.
- Book store and time zone map has also been removed
In conclusion: Some features have been removed in order to focus more clearly on the forum at Asia Observer.
What do you think about the changes? Do you miss the country and news pages? Or are you happy about what we have done?
Please let me know.
And a final note: The country pages are still there, although they are not linked to from the front page.
http://www.asiaobserver.com/burma will for instance lead you to the Burma page. But the news feed is no longer updated.
Cheers,
John
