Aftrer reading the following news, I did not know whether to laugh or to cry. This is one of AFP reports on Myanmar and this is about Kayin (KNU) rebels.

BANGKOK - A US-based rights group on Saturday condemned fresh ethnic fighting in military-run Myanmar and urged neighbouring Thailand to protect hundreds of refugees fleeing the violence."

I wonder why US right group does not condomn those who are fighting the rebels in Afghanistan or in Iraq? Well, shall we say Myanmar is our only concern.

As you already know, SPDC had made countless attempts to have ceasefire , peace if possible with the KNU. In the past the successive governments of Union of Burma(Myanmar) made similar attempts and efforts to achieve peace. Many KNU rebels had individualy surrendered, many others and their leaders made peace with the government.

They are all free and well look after by the governments. Nobody goes to prison or executed, punoished for treason. Even some them are in the National Convention and taking part in shaping the future Union of Myanmar through New Constitution.

Yet, many KNU entremists stayed behind, While some of their keaders were having talks with the government they were taking advantage and regrouping and rearming themselves and continued fighting against the government. When Government over run them they went into Thailand and seek santuary.

United Nation. is cso concerned about these rebels, their families and their sympathizers. In the past UN is providing these rebels anything they need. Asking Thailand to protect these KNU Kayin rebels as well.

Sometimes under the influence of some powerful nations such as United States and Britain UN created some rebels and declared war on them instead of stopping the war.

There are lots of Palestinian, Afghanis and Iraqi who are trsapped in these wars created by UN itself or created by those who are using UN as a stepping stone.

UN never concerned about these people who are trap in the wars. For example, Palestinians, Afghanis, Iraqis ordinary people and rebels alike.

Why is UN so concerned about the KNU Kayin rebels, their families and their sympathizers. United Nation is concern about how Kayin(KNU) rebels are aquaring arms and ammunition and other military supplies.

Some people believe that UN itself is a puppet of US and UK, especially when the present UN Sec, Gen is happened to be a South Korean from US puppet country.

Some people are questioning is UN a free and independent organization or totally under the influence of US and UK.

In the past Thailand gave sanctury to these Kayin(KNU) rebels. Recently Thailand itself has a taste of Muslim insurgency in the Southern part of the country. If Thailand did not know how Myanmar was going through then, now Thailand knows how it has to go through. Because Thailand is having its own experience.

I don't think Thailand would like to prolong the Muslim insurgency. How would Thailand feel if Myanmar is harbouring the Muslim insurgents who are fighting against Thailand government to launch attacks on Thailand from Myanmar's soil.

I think and hope Thais are more wiser than I expected.

Breakingnews: 2 Wa traffickers killed on Thai soil

The military Monday killed two narcotics traffickers believed to be
members of a United Wa State Army (UWSA) group run by drug lord Wei
Hsueh-kang.

The armed forces, tipped off by intelligence officials keeping an eye
on drug trafficking movements, found a group of five men at the border
with Burma in Chiang Mai's Piang Luang sub-district.

After a 30-minute gun battle, soldiers from 721st Company killed two
of the group and seized 4.5kg of heroin, an AK-47 rifle, a home made
pistol and two cell phones.

A Third Army Region officer said the group was under the command of
the UWSA's 171 Battalion which is run by Wei. They were supposed to
hand the heroin to a Thai trader in Piang Luang, he said.

[b]The UWSA is a military arm of the Wa ethnic minority which has close
relations with the Burmese military junta. The ethnic group was
allowed to produce narcotics in exchange for a cease-fire agreement
with the junta and providing it with assistance in fighting the other
rebellious minorities along the border. [/b]

Why did Khun Za give up his drug business abruptly and and choose to surrender unconditionaly to his archenemy (SPDC)?

I can write a long page. But t0o make it short. In 1989 and once again in 1994, Khun Za was twice indicted by the U.S. Government for violation of the Federal Narcotic Laws and a warrant for his arrest as also issued on both cases.

In 1974 April, one Mr Peter Borne who was an adviser on narcotic affairs to the US President Mr Jimmy Carter came to visit Khun Za in his MTA head quarters in Homong and stayed with him for a week. During his stayed Khun Za was advised by Mr P. Bourmne to find a way to get off the hook.

Khun Za followed Mr. Bourne 's advice by immediately declaring the area under his control to be an independent Shan Nation and himself as the President.

The qiestion was, why was the US Presidents drug advicer given such advice to such person charged by the US government itself as a drug warlord and wouldKhun Za heed such serious advice from a complete stranger?

During his visit Mr. P Bourne made a statement which was later broadcast by SBS-TV Australia in 1997 on the programmed called &quot; The Heroin Wars&quot; . He was quoted as saying, &quot; I think there is a willingness of the United States and elsewhere to look at the drug issue on a completely different basis and version. , I think also it is now very clear what is happening here in the Shan State is truely a legitimate independence movement movement in which the drug issue is really a subsidiary part,&quot;

What was more interesting was that in 1995 a team of American ci=onsisting of two Amrican citizens had been visiting the MTA head quarters regularly since 1991. This team had brought with them a proposal to support the MTA with financial assistance, weapons and logistic support in return for the establishment of a cruise missile base in the MTA control area.

Khun Za, understand the complexity and sensing the imminent dangerthat would fall upon him and his people in agreeing such a dastardlyplan, he had enough sense and decency to turn down the offer.

Khun Za iwas cornered alright, but not by SPDC but by the US. Lao Sit Han , was captured by US and handed over to Myanmar remember?

After all Khun Za is not a fool. In his own time, he notboinly ruled Homong but also he ruled the world. US couldnot even firt, they tried to make a deal with Khun Za, do you realised that?

I am not surprised that there are lesser and lesser people who are taking part in this forum. If that was your aim and idea to push the people away , John Sanvand should think again. Recently John Sanvand even wrote to people to their email address and advertising his new forum. Somebody replied to John Sanvand theorgh soc.culture.burma . He/she did not reply through ASIAOBSERVER. That is it.

You swear too much, you can not talk with out swearing or using the words step father, mother and sisters. In this forum you are the only one who swears too much, almost every time. Yes sometimes I responded in kind. When I did you don't like it.

Let ‘s go down to the our business. I had asked you to check with the US State Departments, didn’t I ? The chances are they may not tell you anything. What you know is what you know. But if you happened to be in Yangon, don't forget to visit, Drug Elimination Museum at the former Kyandaw Cemetery Site, which was opened since 26 June 2001, the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Let me remind you, . that site used to be a cemetery so don’t look for the tombs of your relatives, don’t stay too long there either..

Every year Myanmar burns many tones of drugs in front of foreign dignitaries, leaflets and booklets were distributed to them as well. You may still find what I was telling you about Khun Za and the US involvements.

Btw, International community (UN) and US narcotic department is overseeing or working hands in hands with SPDC, how could you say otherwise TS.

For your information after surrendering to the Myanmar authorities, Khun Za revealed or confessed everything. His confessions were supported by piles of photos and reels of videos. Including how the late Saw Bo Mya of KNU, receiving funds from Khun Za (MTA) and his delegation of two men went to UK to request to support MTA claims, and to recognised Khun Sa and his declaration of Independent Shan Nation. US state department knows what I am talking about . Their involvements in every country all over the world, and the world knows that as well but you are the only one who does not know or accept you poor man.. .

You can defend anyone you like. That is your business and that is your right. I have to respect that. I have no right to name you or call you anything.

Gyogoat, you have ask me a lot of un necessary questions. That alone shows you know nothing. Do you want to know what I know or you want to learn from me?. On the other hand you may know more than me , you may not know as much as me. If you know something or everything, why don’t you speak out rather than saying I was wrong.
