My viewpoint:-:
Instead of unrealistic and wasteful time, energy and money on fruitless attempts to change the regime which had embedded for so long and has the power, guns, wealth etc, I think it is intelligent and wise to pursue for legal action by the “challengers” .
When President Bush was in Thailand, I saw there are some activists who met with Bush. I wonder what they discuss and what these activists come up with or provide Bush with their insights, goals or strategies of how to bring “real/true” democratic change to Burma. OR? is it just a photo op for political purpose or propaganda? Strategies are very important in achieving success and implementing it is more difficult than say.
In the picture I saw some of them surrounding Bush at the conference like meeting. What did they say or present to Bush? Do they have strong commitment and strategies that are realistic and reasonable to implement or just another propaganda bull? I do thank my President for seeing these (prominent) democratic minded personals of Myanmar/Burma. BUT, the point is ‘meeting” is not enough. Drawing strategies is not enough. Action or IMPLEMENTING the strategies, principles and agenda is the key. Are there any agenda that will take effect in action? This is just a turn key to promote freedom and democracy for Asia. At least for Burma. Anyone can come up with pros and cons “how to change Burma for better” in realistic, reasonable and appropriate terms. I see many authors contribute many posts although most of are just irrelevant and rubbish or nonsense. Anyway, my point is IF you all really want to discuss in a polite and meaningful ways, one has to set aside the personal differences and come up with thoughtful and intelligent discussion about HOW TO CHANGE BURMA/MYANMAR FOR GOOD in genuine respect and considerate to others. To this date, I truly do not see one post or heading that contributes to sensible dialogue (in this forum) between the pro spdc or anti spdc or neutrals. As for me I regard myself as an “Independent Individualist” who does NOT belong to any party/group/organization or affiliate at all. Just to let you all know and reveal MYSELF in where I stand. One thing is for sure, I will write whatever my thoughts are, regardless of popularity by many or not for I am NOT seeking for anything or gain. I can NEVER be a politician for I CANNOT please everyone and there are some "matters" involved like "faith" which I do NOT compromise for anything. Liking or disliking my writings from other feed backs/people does not effects my thinking nor my search for perfection or stop my pursuit to seek the truth nothing but the whole truth, so help me God. It is solely THEIR problem indeed. I will present and reveal MINE and they can decide THEIRS.
All thoughts are welcome!

To be truthful I had no idea what the so called “activists” and President Bush discussed in Thailand. BUT, my advice is to pursue for legal battle against the regime that robbed state power from the elected reps namely NLD, the winning opposition party in 1990 general election. The opposition including the exile Burmese government NCGUB and NCUB are wasting their time. IF the opposition is really serious, they should seek for legal action/battle to oust SPDC’s seat at the UN or at least file a legal action towards the junta for their misconduct. Of course money will be needed to counter the regime. Funds should be raised and lawyers are needed to file a complaint against the regime. What are the so called opposition doing ? all these years I really had no idea. Just posting statements or writing statements will not let the job done.
The opposition is fighting the uphill battle and truly intelligent and smart personals are needed in conjunction with sufficient funds to hire brilliant lawyers.

Comrades,
The challenge moves on. The right to stand up for the truth, justice, liberty and pursuit for happiness and prosperity is the alienated rights of all humans. UN should be based upon fairness, truth and justice. We will overcome all obstacles of injustices and criminal behavior of repression and undemocratic moves of evil eliments no matter where they are and who they are. Justice will prevail and let the liberty bell rings in our fight for freedom and justice. The power of the PEN is mightier than GUN. We will show it, prove it and demonstrate it with deeds and action legally and decisively. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080910/ap_on_re_as/un_myanmar

Re-defining UN:
The illegality of running the government through armed revolt should be the fundamental reason to revoke the legal seat of the UN representation for when any regime revoke the peoples’ elected government, that regime should be taken action by the UN appropriately by refusing the seat at UN. This is not 20th century anymore. New revised and reforms are needed in the UN seriously.

Smart and effective way to confront evils is to bring them to justice. Just as darkness afraid of the light, evils afraid of truth and justice. Now is the time to pursue for legal action and take on the illegal into legality scope. Intelligent people use brains while the fools use guns. There are ways to lock up the criminals and the most effective way is to lock them up in jails. What goes around will come around. What Saddam Hussein did to his people comes back against him and his family and now they're all gone. Saddam was hang by the Iraqi justice system. The only thing the junta afraid of is the legal action taken against them and they will try any way that they can to avoid justice. They can run but they cannot hide from justice. It is the DUTY of all people who seek for truth and justice to bring them to court and let them have their time to defend themselves from the crimes against humanity they had committed. http://www.mizzima.com/news/world/1058-haul-generals-before-the-icc-
rights-groups.html
By the way 3 major activist websites namely Irrawaddy, Mizzima and Democratic Voice of Burma are being attacked. Why? Like I said, evil cannot stand justice and they will try to eliminate all potential threats that can lead them into their own demise.
