Dear FD,
Before I start , I would like to use a phrase from a song from a film called “ Greese “ by Olivia Newton John and John Travolta.
“ You are the one that I want ”. Its nice to talk to you FD. I can have a meaningful talk with you. You are one of the very few now a days.
True, very true politic has more tricks and cruelty. That is why in the western world there is a saying such as , “ you have to be cruel to be kind.”
Myanmar was taken through tricks and cruelty by the British, They are trying again. The sad thing is our own people have not learned a thing. What can you say? They are poor and they are desperate. They will do anything for a piece of silver. Its hard to say its our own people.
The world history is full of cruelty. During the process of making a nation, there are cruelties. No nation was built on democracy or human rights. They only came after the cruelty. Even in Myanmar history, there may have been cruelties, there may have been no democracy, no human rights as such as today. But some people may argue that today in Myanmar there are cruelty. That is because they have not seen nor experienced the cruelty . Or they may nor understand what a cruelty is.
“ We came in peace, we came to trade”, from the mouth . By hand providing whiskey and rifles to the natives. That is how the west was won. Am I wrong FD. Your own words of “tricks and cruelty”. we know that don’t we? At the same time we would like to pass that our knowledge to our compatriots. We are called savages, they called themselves civilised people.
Is this policy ever changed during these centuries? No I don’t think so. If we can not beat them, we have to join them, is that it? On what terms?
Politic , to put it in civilised way is nothing but slicing thinly.
There are educated people , academics, intellectuals and experts most of them will air their views, but they will stay away from politic, they will not get involved physically. That’s the only way to survive Only by living they can do something, by dying they can do nothing.
But we can not say they don’t care for the nation, we can not say they don’t care for the people. They care, that is why they express their views, they express their opinions, they make their comments, they speak their mind. Speaking is a kind of profession . They know how to speak. They say what they have to say not offending anybody. They speak carefully. They speak the points. They speak only when it is necessary.
As you have rightly said they can be a force for the nation one day, who knows. But they have to take the people with them along. They have to educate the people first to understand what they are talking about.
I always referred to Buddha’ and his teachings for he is the most wisest one. His teachings of Noble Truth, Eight Fold Path and 38 Mingalas are so complete. Nothing to ad nor to subtract. I do not know about other teachings. The people I mentioned above will take this Eight Fold Path as guidance. I hope they can do no wrong. There are many things many philosophies, to put them into practice.
SPDC from the very start welcomed and accepted constructive approaches and advices as well as going along Buddha‘s teachings. They are taking these teachings as guidance. Also they don’t forget the time, place and circumstances.
Myanmar is like a plot of land full of trees and bushes which some are danger to the environment, not healthy counting in snakes wild animals and insects . It has to clean the land as necessary to erect a building fit enough or human to live in.
To build a nation, to build peace and harmony for SPDC
If we want to get rid of someone, first we have to consider, what he/she is doing, in theories or in practice for the nation, for the people , what others are doing giving helping hands or being nuisance.
Whatever it is , if only they have patience and give helping hands, with full understanding . That will be great for Myanmar and its people. Democracy and human rights will be in Myanmar sooner than we expected.
After 2010 elections, Myanmar could be called a democratic nation. That may be by name only. The attitude, . and the behaviours,
the way people react will only determine what nation Myanmar be. I said this because in my view, Myanmars still do not know what they are, what they want. Myanmar are confused people. Most of all they can be bought or bribe. They are in desperation. Politicians made then so. So in Myanmar almost everybody is corrupt even the clergy people.
So called demo-campers are like circus animals. They were human but they prefer to be animals. That is their own choice, That is their rights.
There many kinds to earn a living, honest living. I am not going into details of what they are. Which are not dishonest living is honest living . One has to judge oneself.
Demo campers will do what they have to do to survive. Everybody will do what they have to do, Democrats, Republican, Liberal, Socialists, or communists or even none believers. But not with the expanse of 57 million people’s lives. Not to stamp on their heads, let alone to shit on them.
Some Myanmar boys and girls come to Britain saying to study. As soon as they arrived demo campers welcome them and start lecture how to live on the State as one of the human rights.
Then illegal employment under paid. After their visa expired, , if the extensions are not allowed , they disappeared , they over stay and with the help of demo campers, ask for political asylum at least refugees status to escape the laws and deportations.
The demo campers are running a business a big business of human trafficking. Some foreign embassies official in Myanmar are also involved in this business, I have heard. It is becoming simi-legit business, under the charter of human rights.
The Myanmar girls copy the British girls getting pregnant without husband to qualify for benefits. Child benefits, housing or housing benefits, medical benefits. Having an illegitimate child is more beneficial than working hard for wages which is lower than national average. They cannot sleep well, they cannot eat well, they have no permanent address either, for they are continuously running away from laws, they are fugitives, they are absconders.
They may think they lives are better here, but they are also suffering. Do they know what FOUR NOBLE TRUTH is ?
Their parents in Myanmar do not know what their children are going through here. But they are happy with the money their children sent to them. They are happy with whatever their children tell them on the phone. Their address are mostly through one of the Universities. Or a letter box. Do you think the parents care? What’s the use of caring?
There are lots of asylum seekers. I found most of them are not political asylum seekers, they are economical, They will say anything which will be helpful to what they are seeking for. That is not unusual FD.
The real problem here is, selling own country, selling own people, telling tall stories. What do they get? To compare to the country, to compare to the people in Myanmar, the so called benefits they are receiving is not even worth thirty pieces of silver. Do they know that?
As long as they know what they are doing as long as they are doing the right thing. Exceptions is for those who flows with the current. In Myanmar they are those who are,“ Mee Zin Kyi Ka ” that in my view is a kind of treachery.
You may notice that the so called “ Democampers”. Wht kind of democracy are they talking about, what sort of human rights are they talking about? They are the kind of people I am talking about, most of them don’t know what they are talking about. They are just flowing with the current. That is very dangerous, a grave danger for the nation and for the people. We have witness it in Myanmar and in many other countries. The meaning of Freedom, The meaning of independent, the meaning of a sovereignty . I have said it many times , I am not going to repeat here again. Why Myanmar need to be one people in one country. I gave United States as example. As one people in one nation They don’t get it, do they?
There is no shortage of bystanders, and the “don’t knows” In the 21 century, by standing and don’t knows have no meaning at all. If they don’t know by now, they will never know. That may be some kind of tricks or that may be opportunity for the clever ones. Are they themselves opportunists?
I have said many times, that democracy does not guarantee the absolute right or total wrong. When and where majority have to make a decision if it is wrong it is wrong, if it is right it is right. To make the right into wring may be easy, so easy, but to make the wrong into right takes times, along long time.
Democracy is is for a nation, for the survival of the people, existence of the people and the nation. We cannot make mistake. We can not afford to be undecided, we cannot afford to be “ don’t know”
“Mee Myar Mee naming - Yey Myar Yey Naing.” is too cheap in this matter . A nation is at stake, its people are about to become endangered human species.
A country where the best democracy will flourish, where human rights will be honoured fully will be the country where majority of the people are educated through proper education. Ther should be sufficient amount of educated people , academics, intellectuals and experts, to educate the people as a whole. But they should not be elites. They don’t have to be politicians but they can contribute to the nation and the people much more then politicians. Their air, their views, their opinions are essential for the nation, for the people. When we are talking about Myanmar, the main thing is they must know about Myanmar, the past and present thoroughly, digested.
Again a nation is not complete just because we a have a group of these people . The majority of the people of that nation must also have some kind of education or knowledge and or political awareness, economical awareness and social awareness, all in all, a common sense.
It is a human right of a human to change his/her mind. Ex military or ex military intelligence personnel. Decency never come to it, not a part of it. He does not know what s the meaning of respect, what is the meaning of dignity. He may not realise that he has lost everything he treasured, including his country, his people ,don’t you see? They did not come into politic because they believed in some thing, they came in with personal grudge. You know as well as I do, his wife was already measuring others lady’s foot print, and she picked on poor private soldiers remember?
If the person is not loyal to his Tatmadaw, he will never loyal to his nation not to his people. That is what I believe, Wrong can be right, Two wrongs do not make one right.
Of course they could have change their course of our nation if they have trusted somebody d opportunity . They have had all the chances and opportunities but they blown everything up. They lost them in nthe end. If only they had accepted the realities. if only they care for the nation, if only they care for the people, in which they are themselves parts of it. But they did not. They did not accept continuity and changes can go together. They want everything brand new, if needs be they want to hire them , borrow them all, which they could not afford, most of all the nation could not afford., the people could not afford.
If I am not wrong, if I am not exaggerating, the new constitution is designed for that . It design for anything and everything that Myanmar needs. Think of it carefully.
Who have been brain washed by whom? Who have been blinded by whom? The one with no brain of his/her own, will work with hired brains. Nowadays you can hire anything. A higher purchase system is very popular around the world.
You can even hire an army, you can even hire security personnel. There are many nations engaged in that hiring and leasing business, for a price of course.
That is what the so called demo campers are after. That is what they are, they make themselves mercenaries, and they want mercenaries against their own country. They don’t know what they are doing.
Some people might point out that our great leader, Ko Aung San had started it. Yes, that may be true, that was in another time, with other circumstances. That time foreigners were ruling our nation, our own country was not our own, it did not belong to us. We Myanmars were at the bottom of the human race in our own country. Still somebody is not bringing them up, putting them at the bottom.
There is not another time or not another place. This is the time and this is the place. We have to do it now,
In conclusion my dear FD, though we are no politicians , this is politic and we are discussing. and the subject is Myanmar. our views, our opinion, from our perspective , from our angle. Nobody is right or nobody is wrong, They all can be right or they all can be wrong , let us put it that way .
The fact is we cannot ignore what is happening in Myanmr. This is our country, this is our people.
We are like parts of an engine. No matter how small we may be individually. We are playing our part we have to play our part. For the smooth running of the engine. to run.
Shall we begin a new chapter with the new constitution, or we will dwell on the past for ever.? That we all have to decide. We all have to make our minds up, for the sake of the nation of Myanmars, for the sake of the people of Myanmar. Because we are Myanmars.
