US lawmakers ease pressure on Chevron in Myanmar

US lawmakers have dropped plans to impose sanctions that would have pressured US energy giant Chevron to pull out from a gas project in military-ruled Myanmar, congressional aides said on Tuesday.

This kind of economic sanctions and navel blockage were imposed on Myanmar from 1824 to 1885, by the British. The French who were thought to be the friends of Myanmar were busy in French Indo China. As a result Myanmar fell to the British.
British made sure , Myanmar could not have any kind of economic ties or military ties with anybody but with them and under them.
Today also British are inviting other nations to join with them to take economic sanctions against Myanmar , while they are saying Myanmar is under dictatorship
Who is dictating who, the silent world can see. Who is trying to gang up on Myanmar? Who are the braves who are the great heroes?
Would be US President Barack Obama said he will withdraw US troops from Iraq. Sounded good. But he also said these troops will be moved into Afghanistan.
What Mr Obama forgetting is that, US led coalitions forces may be in Afghanistan by the approval of United Nations. But war on Iraq and troops in Iraq are not legit, they are illegal forces, they are occupying forces. The whole world knows that.
Is that the attitude and behaviours of the leaders of US who looks down on the people of the world , who thinks they are ignorant , who they think they can bully all the time.
This illegal acts of United States of America and its leaders is the beginning of US down fall. Because at the moment the world may be silent, for many reasons, but they are not blind.
Today, economic sanctions are imposed on Myanmar again to have the maximum effect to bring down SPDC to bring down Myanmar on their knees. But Total of France , Chevron of US and many others including Russia , China , India and are doing business with Myanmar, besides, United Nations through its agencies are helping Myanmar as well.
Those who are in Myanmar and are on the ground knows better about Myanmars and SPDC and realities and situations in Myanmar. UN envoy is going there soon to access . The situation of the cyclone disaster.
As far as democracy and human rights are concerned , the western nations have to say what they have to say, to promote democracy and human rights in Myanmar. As long as the people of Myanmar thoroughly understand what democracy is and what human rights are in Myanmar as well as in other nations, especially in those so called democratic nations which are preaching democracy and human rights to others.
which are criticising Myanmar for lack of democracy and human rights., to their standard or the western standard. o are to others.
No nation in the world is complete, no nation in the world is perfect. They have to have relations with other nations for bilateral benefits and interests , at least in the interest of their own people.
The powerful nations with their economic might, with their military might called for and imposed economic sanctions on other nations big or small they even waged unjust wars on other are now facing economic difficulties within their own country and their own people are suffering .
If that is not a kind of “ Retribution ”, if that is not the bad Kamma , if that is not a good merit. What are they then? You will only reap what you sowed.
