Reuters and AlertNet are not responsible for the content of this article or for any external internet sites. The views expressed are the author's alone.

First I would like to state my view to the last paragraph. Which is “ Reuters and AlertNet are not responsible for the content of this article or for any external internet sites. The views expressed are the author's alone.”

BUT. Publishing anything without checking with respective people , not having it scrutinised as necessary Reuters and AlertNet may be RESPONSIBLE, because there are media guide line. Freedom of Media comes with responsibility .

The responsibility is with the informers, the feeders. Who gave them information, who feed them the information.
Editor has these responsibility, an editor cannot be called an EDITOR, because there is nothing for him to Edit.

If somebody tells the editor that his mother or sister is having a great fun with a group of other girls and women, boys and men having orgy, would the editor print that as news without checking, without censor ?
Do we have all the news about Afghanistan, do we have all the news about Iraq, uncensored by the US military?
It is called “ D, notice ” the reporter has to use his own judgement, his own common sense. If you understand what I mean.
Having said that, this news itself is not that bad. But as usual I have to say something., to help IC and to help Myanmar of course.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
Dear patriots,

There are at least three kinds of displaced people in the world. They are the victims of the wars and conflicts, victims of natural disasters and victims of relocation for progress and developments purpose. For the benefit of all.

Today all these three are there in Myanmar . Myanmar is a war torn nation, Myanmar facing cyclone disaster, Myanmar in process of the progress and developments . No matter how big or small they are, relocations are needed to compensate all, make villages to towns, towns to cities, building roads and highways, schools and hospitals etc. As they are for the benefit of majority of people , relocations are definitely needed, some people may say they are suffering.

Every country, the land the sea and the sky belong. Things above and below them belong to the government, the rulers the Monarch. There is an exception which is private ownership with the permission of the government( The nation), the rulers, the Monarchs. But they have to have a document called deed and it has to be registered at the registry office.

In Myanmar at the start of RC in 1962 , in the name of Socialist Revolution many people took the laws into there own hands and took any empty land by force, which had nothing to do with the Nationalizations which came later. RC Government was cught in its own net, could not do anything about it and it had to let it go. Land redistribution they called it. Most of this been done during Culture Revolution of Myanmar during Revolutionary Council’s days. Still most of them have not been done. Especially where rebels and insurgents are active. Those lands , what is above and under belongs to the Government( the nation ). In the eyes of the law of the land those who belong to rebels and insurgent groups are squatters. They have no deeds
( documents) they are not register at the registry office.

When SLORC came in 1988 and there after SPDC, owners of the nationalised industry could claimed back their properties provided that they have the necessary documents as proofs. Unfortunately these documents were handed over to the officials , these documents were taken away by the officials when it was being nationalised. Some of them have copies of the documents, but to claim back to clear the land and property from the squatters, is like “ Sin Bo Htet - Chun Bo Kyee. ”. It will be too expensive to claim it back, government will not assist , the owner have to pay the cost of moving and relocating the squatters.

Here we are talking about the victims of the cyclone disaster .
Myanmar by nature are very generous people. They believe Danna , Thila and Bawanar. They believe in charity. Given away whatever they can. They have compassion, they have sympathy towards others, because they are human beings .The Myanmars do this without expecting in anything in return . They consider that as a step to or as an assistance to Nirvanna, which is a place of no rebirths, after death.
That is the good part of the Myanmar,to look at them in positive way. That may be in the past, the good habits of Myanmar are left behind as they are going forward. What a shame.

But sadly, whatever is happening in Myanmar, everybody is politicising .

There are many questions. Do these so called displaced people really want to go home? Who is stopping them, if they really to go home ? What is the rehabilitation programme for them? Surely they don’t want to go home empty handed. They want something, they expect something. They may also expect more than, much more than what they had. Why not, that is human impulse, if not Myanmar’s impulse. Something for nothing , Freedom or Free, the rights with no responsibilities.

When the SPDC send them home to their own places they did not want to go, when SPDC did not send them back, they want to go. It is up to individuals 50,000 have gone home and 40, 000 still in 45 camps, the news said. Like I said above, these 5,000 are expecting more , much more to restart their lives, may be.

Because some people find their life much better than before as displaced person in the special camps. They don’t need to worry about anything, they don’t need to work hard, Life is very easy, everything is ready made for them , no need to lift their fingers. All they have to say is what they want, not what they need. No pride, no dignity as being Myanmars or being human beings.

That may be one of the many reasons, why SPDC was reluctant to accept the foreign aid. If Myanmars forget Bain Mont, because foreign aid is biscuits, if Myanmar forget Mont let Saung, because Coca Cola is easily available. If Anchovy is on the shops, the Ngapi will disappear , tins of sardine, pilchards or salmon will take the places of Nga Khu, Nga Gee, Nga Yant or Nga Panaw and Nga Byay ma etc.

In the end, Myanmar will lose their way of life.

Myanmar has their own saying is “ Alagar Ya Yay - Athay Thauk “. which means even when they get the drinking water FREE they will drink to DEATH. They don’t think the consequences. That is why I was saying Myanmar does not need biscuits, chocolate or rice etc, Myanmar needs the machines and factory to produce what they need with their own raw materials.

In Pali it is, “Ah Ta Hi Ah Htanaw - Nar Htaw ”Their spirits of self reliance . It is fading away from Myanmars. If not gone yet. Some Myanmars are becoming Kut Phar Kaung or pests. What a shame. These are the Myanmars. They are the spoiled brats. Myanmars must come back to their own common sense of helping themselves.
The other saying is “ God helps those who helps themselves”. If that is true and if there is God. Whatever it may be Myanmars have to help themselves first. They have been doing it for thousand of years on their own. There is noting to change, because there is nothing new. Believing in God could be translate into, Kamma, Merits. Those are the God for the Myanmars.

That is what I am talking about. A fisherman like Phu Gyi may have lost his fishing boat including his fishing gears, if he ever had them. He may need a fishing boat, at least a long boat and fishing gears to fish , including fishing nets and hooks, apart from his hut.

Some Myanmars think that the international aid is like the “ Sunn Gyi Loung Pwe ” They take advantages or opportunity they come with their begging bowls, to get anything as if that is their human rights. I see it as violation and I se it as abusing .
If they had nothing, if they had not lost anything, they deserve nothing.. The fakes the bogus deserve bashing charge with fraud, as simple as that .

Is he a legitimate fisherman had he ever registered as a fisherman or is he an opportunist? If he is genuine , he needs all the help we can give him to start his life back again as fisherman. His profession his trade. Biscuits , Chocolates, Sweet and tarpaulin tent are not enough for him.

Whatever IC is trying to help these cyclone victims, we are grateful. But the estimations and calculations must be nearest to the right figures. There are millions and millions of people are starving in the world. Yeas they are starving, no food, no water . They are much worse than Myanmar’s cyclone victims.

Over estimating . high lighting Myanmar with wrong figures, false figures is nothing but politicising the humanitarian disaster. It is not helping at all.

While the government (SPDC) will do anything to help the genuine victims, it should take stern action against fakes and bogus. No matter what, IC should not encourage the fakes and bogus.

Now IC knows, what the victims such as Phu Gyi the fisherman needs , it is not biscuits, it is not chocolates, it is not sweets . At least Tarpaulin tent will be made good hut better than bamboo hut for him.

no one owns nothing in life.
Burmese people were cursed because of killing prince and princess by King Thi Baw.
After 60 years, Burmese people will be released from that cursed and everything will be fine.
Check Burmese history.
Army will be cursed because of the generals.
