I had mention long time ago that SPDC will come to its own demised. Evil dwell on deception and deception is NOT eternal. Truth is eternal. Truth cannot be changed or altered. Truth will reveal and when that time comes deception will be defeated for good.
Now, many will speculate this latest event may be a gimmick and these 2 top Generals will control the military from behind the scenes. This was done by the first dictator of Burma General Ne Win. He effectively resign from the military and turn into civilian clothes to become the nation’s political leader. As I had closely watched the trend of the once junior officers of Ne Win, namely Than Shwe and Maung Aye, they are precisely following the steps of their predecessor senior/leader Ne Win’s footsteps. These lesser Generals may differ a little bit but the core value of Ne Win’s conduct is being applied. Of course there are differences like Ne Win implement Socialism while the current rulers wants to implement democracy “control by military or ex-military men”.
Anyway, the trend that is taking so far shows they are copying the first dictator’s footsteps in a “modified” way. If this news of these 2 top Generals’ resignation from the military which was so hated by the people of Burma including the Buddhist monks not to mention the disgrace image of the Tatmadaw (Military) on the world’s stage/eyes, these 2 sly Generals resign from the military to become the next “civilian political leaders” is highly possible although it can be unlikely.
Well, truth will reveal and time will tell these 2 top Generals take the steps of their once leader General Ne Win’s footsteps is yet to be seen.

Aftermath of Nargis:-:
If one looks carefully what Nargis, the perfect cyclone had done to the Burmese junta one will find drastic and dramatic changes had occurred. The “powerful action” of Nargis laid everlasting effect on Burma, its people AND the rulers forever.
Even the world itself will never be the same for they had seen the most unfortunate events that is still on going inside Burma, a secluded, hermit like nation and government.
The tainted/tarnished tatmadaw (image) is seen by the world as the most cruel and inhumane institution ever for not only they block the attempts of international aid for the victims but let the humans die in a very inhumane manner which will one day haunt them and can be possibly charge in the ICC for “crimes against humanity” or “criminal neglect”. True, Nargis had its own way. Although the storm is well over, the ripple effects of it’s design is happening inside Burma/Myanmar.
There is no question Burmese Navy is heavily affected and destroyed/weakened not to mention the land bases at 5 affected regions namely Ayeyarwaddy Division, Yangon Division, Bago Division, Mon State and Kawthoolei/Karen State.
Like Miramar, I am closely watching the trend and events of Burma/Myanmar and its rulers and people. The aim and object of sly 2 top generals is revealing slowly but surely. This is becoming more and more interesting for in the middle of the referendum, constitution and the election, Nargis had unexpectedly intervene and take action thus forcing the top brass to act and modify the status of their holdings as quickly as possible and in the mist of power stability they don't want to rock the boat by letting loose the most feared rival Aung San Suu Kyi, thus they had no way or option but to (extend) detained her more until all this mess done by Nargis had been settled.
Because of Nargis, “Democracy” is the golden word for the junta (SPDC) that is quickly in the process of demise. SPDC will and can be dissolved when the 2 top leaders left. Without the magic word “democracy” the world will not effectively help Burma back to her feet not to mention “business as usual” is out of the question for many governments around the world. Remember, Nargis had dealt a blow at the heart of Burma’s rice bowl, the Ayeyarwaddy delta and this is just the beginning. Hardships are bound to come not only to the victims but also to the managing government not to mention “severe sanctions” are in placed on the present government of Burma (SPDC) so naturally SPDC must go.
Top notch vital Generals know it and thus sooner or later the magic word had to be implemented for Burma and Burmese to survive the impact of Nargis and its aftermath repercussions after all Burma/Myanmar is devastated politically, economically, militarily and dignity. In other words, Nargis effectively, efficiently change Burma and Burmese forever dissolving the most hated, feared and dispicable regime called State Peace and Developing Council ( Noxious Name / SPDC ).

The world had find out in reality that Burma’s notorious regime is unlike anywhere in the world when they refused the International aid workers thus restricting the aid that goes to the real needy, the cyclone victims. Dumping dead bodies into rivers is their way of solving the problem when in deed, the dead bodies (hundreds of them) are being washed a shore at Mon State (set-se beach). The world cannot do nothing to prevent contagious disease that is looming and the potential dying victims in millions. The regime is not capable nor has the know how to deal with threats towards mankind that can spread way beyond the boundaries of Burma.
It is possible the world in the wake of the unusual behavior in light of catastrophe happened inside Burma, can enact laws, regulations to deal with this kind of new threats created by this notorious and noxious regime. It is just a matter of time and believe me, intelligent and smart world leaders will find ways to tackle new threats of this kind, this magnitude now or in the future. Of course, regime like China will ignore for they are like wise regime that concentrate on making money and discard anything that blocks their way of making money not to mention they are preoccupied with the upcoming Olympic games.
So? The sleazy sly top Generals have no choice but to retire/resign from the tarnished tatmadaw’s image in front of the world’s eyes. In Burma’s politics, where military is the sole ruler for many decades, not only did they censor news vigorously but also down play major changes. Power struggle “behind the scenes” are the norm of Burmese militant politics. No matter how much they concealed, truth emerges when the time comes just like in the case of once No. 3 General Khin Nyunt’s case. General Khin Nyunt is not only rank in the third position, he is also the Chief of the Intelligence both military and civilian thus he had files on every General's activities including these 2 top ones. In strategic terms, when the top General’s power is threaten by files on what they do, where they go and why they prosper, things like that, the only way to safeguard their status is to eliminate the source of the threat which happens to be General Khin Nyunt not to mention he is the favorite guy of these top 2 Generals’ arch rival, the detained General Ne Win and his immediate family.
One thing came out as a positive manner in the wake of changing from military uniform into civilian political clothes. A collateral side effects I should say and that is creating the “conflict” of interest or power which can be beneficial to the country and the people of Burma/Myanmar.
I will go into details on that at later time.

When I say “conflict of interest” I mean the power between the turn coat civilians and the remaining uniform “armed” personals. General Ne Win had effectively created an atmosphere or division between the military and civilian rivalry mentality. If you study closely the trend of Burmese militant politics, General Ne Win had shown to his lesser officers how to manipulate the wealth of the country (natural resources), how to hold on to power with the help of military institution, how to change laws (usually laws are under the boots, boots mean the military top brass for Burmese civilians never wear boots but wears slippers), how to abuse the military for their own interests, how to be cruel to its own citizens by shooting or killing or detaining. Without any remorse or regret, General Ne Win had shown the way. Lesser officers want to get their piece of pie and so naturally they revolt against their master and detained him (in Burmese militant usage it is called house arrest) and his immediate family and continue ruling the nation at their own pace and time. General Ne Win had shown many examples how to get rich quick schemes, how to maintain power for longer period of time, how to be cruel to humanity. He is not only quick in temper, a notorious womanizer but also superstitious in numbers and astrology therefore the lesser ones imitate his tactics and norms and even become worser than him. No wonder the military uses rape as a weapon (example).
Let us go back to the conflict of interest. General Ne Win’s conduct had precisely shown how the conflict of interest had drive the destination of Burma. When he change clothes, he took his right hand man or 2nd in line position General San Yu as his civilian second in command in the civilian political arena. Together these 2 turn coats becomes the civilian top leaders to lead his newly created government, newly imposed constitution and their new positions in a legal way. In other words President and vice President are the 2 EX military Generals. THUS Burma march on to the new era of Socialism guided nation rule by Burma Socialist Program Party, the only party with no opposition. The benefits that the people did enjoy at that time is because the ex military Generals are civilian rulers, the abuse of the tatmadaw or military had decline and people live more normal life without the harassment of military personals. People can live more relax and free from hegemony or interference of military personals for the socialist party members take over the military’s reign of terror thus the fear is lessen for the people of Burma and they did enjoy the relief.
