Helping Myanmar, which needs help. 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: -5
Dear Patriots,

International responce to the Myanmar cyclone devastation was encouraging .
It is sad that Myanmar could not accept all the help from all the donors. United Nations Sec. Gen Ben Ki Moon was on the scene and pleaded that this is no politic but humanitarian issues Thanks to him.

Some countries who were always against SPDC and Myanmar came to help Myanmar with their own ideas and with their own warships and their own soldiers. Just to make their points that they are willing to help, they me to help, but it was SPDC who refused them.

Some send the aid on planes Myanmar clearly stated all helps are welcome without any strings attached. Sctionome pledged aid funds etc, pledges are pledges.

The fact of the matter is Myanmar need help. To rebuild the damages at least.
Everybody know Myanmar needs help of one kind or another. The fact was they did not help Myanmar, besides they threatened and the SPDC as well as they threatened who help Myanmar.

Even in the middle of the cyclone, United States namely George W Bush announced that he had extended economic sanctions against Myanmar while his warships are At a striking distance from Myanamr.

Some people blamed SPDC for not accepting the aid from the warships , not allowing , US troops on Myanmar soil in the name of “ humanitarian aid” .

Whatever that is as minutes go by, it becomes the past, the history. What bout the future?

Myanmar needs all the hlp it can from all friendly countries. Now Mny foreigners has been to Myanmar, they were involved in helping Myanmars. And they have seen with their own eyes what the economic sanctions has done to Myanmar and its people.

There are many factors. Do the Myanmar want help, do they need help. They may need help, they need it for sure, do they want them? All Myanmar expect to get the help free. They don‘t want to pay the price, any price in any form.

Who will help Myanmar free, asking no price? I don’t see anybody. The price , in lives, blood, sweat and tears, losing freedom. losing independence, losing face /dignity as a sovereign nation.

Myanmar does not want to be anybody’s puppet. A puppet is is a puppet it is not a human being.

The puppets in Afghanistan, the puppet in Iraq, we are seeing many puppets in everywhere, we have seen them in South East Asia. We know what happens in those puppet countries.

That is why as far as outside helps are concern, they must be free, without any strings ,without any attachments.

They the helpers must be sincere, they must be honest . If they have no political ambition. They .can sell their products to Myanmar and let Myanmar buy what it needs. The price must be reasonable price in cash term or in easy terms ,or on barter system.

Lifting economic sanctions is the best way to help Myanmar, It will be quicker for Myanmar to progress, for Myanmar to be developed. Free trade must be observed .

There are many fields in Myanmar foreigners can invest, as I’ve said, sincerity
and honesty is utmost necessity, for needed. Some big countries while they are shouting economic sanctions against Myanmar , their companies are investing in lucrative businesses in Myanmar such as oil and gas. How many of them are still investing in another lucrative illegal drug trafficking business , they themselves will only know.

The point is transport system, road, railways, air, and river agricultural and fishing , mining an many other you can think of, jointly with the government or with Myanmar citizens. These investments will guarantee the rights of Myanmars who are human beings. Limited investments means limited rights.

Economic sanctions are violating the human rights of the people of Myanmar.

If there are is some body to be blamed , it is not only spdc it is the I(C who has to be blamed as well.

Helping the cyclone victims is a short term but what I am saying is for the long term. SPDC or not , Su Kyi or not Myanmr is heading towards democracy. No need to wait till 2010.

What if Su Kyi drops dead today. What excuse will be there for IC to punish Myanmars.

Whatever the government, whoever heads that government in Myanmar, if he/she is not my friend, he/she is my foe is not acceptable. That policy must be changed. That policy constitutes, colonialism, it constituted slavery, it constitute the puppets, it violate all the freedom, independency and sovereignty.

Regards,

Thunderbolts.
