Dear all,
I found a comment from a voter on Irrawaddy, please see the link below:
http://www.irrawaddy.org/article.php?cat_id=6
Not a Secret Ballot
I voted today at a Burmese embassy in France. They have a list of eligible persons who can vote; my name is on the list. My name, my parents' names, passport number and my address are written on their list.
They prepared a piece of paper for me, and it was cut into two parts. They kept a part and gave me a part as a ballot paper with an envelope. I took it and went to a corner where I had to choose "Yes" or "No". I checked the ballot paper and they had marked a number—the number corresponding to my name on the list— so they can know which way I voted. In fact, I voted “No,” and I don't care whether they know it or not, because it is extremely important to officially express my opinion on their draft constitution.
Aung Thu
I have sent a comment on his letter to Irrawaddy edior.
And I placed here the same coment here.
My Reply to Aung Thu
It is a Secret Ballot. The Ballot paper is the same for all – it means for all embassies all over the world and for the people inside.
It is true that on the first part of the ballot paper there is a number. Then it is cut into 2 parts before putting it into ballots box.
On the 2nd part of the ballot paper there is no number. The ballot paper is totally secret ballot.
For sure, I even verified twice and asked some questions about this number to the Myanmar Diplomats who were sitting in the voting room.
To assure you Aung Thu,
Collecting
Your name,
Your parent’s name
Your address
Your passport number
It is usual administrative procedure that every country does such as in known democratic countries like France, UK , USA or known totalitarian countries like China, Cuba.
If you would like to have an example of this piece of ballot paper I can manage to get it and send it to you.
I can ask to the embassy to send us the example of this ballot paper and scan it and put it on the forum. Or even if you wish we can send a letter by post to your Myanmar Embassy in France officially, why not we are Myanmar citizens we can ask them to put on line this ballot paper for evrybody can see.
The Election act law allows us to compalain on all matters we wish to clarify.

Hello MHK,
Good on you to educate Mg Aung Thu in the voting system. If he had voted 'No' and said 'I didn't care whether they know it or not, because it is extremely important to officially express my opinion on their draft constitution', then why bothered about it. Most of them look out for little negative and expand it to demonised the whole process. If you don't have these numbers, they will also accuse of rigging the ballots. You can't win with them anyway. 'Empty drums make more sound' or 'Little knowledge is dangerous. as they do not want to learn.
I am Polaris.

Aung Thu,
You have good connection with Irrawaddy which belongs to opposition group ,
The name Aung Thu is a very familier name among opposition. In London there is one Aung Thu, sometimes also known as Maung Aung. Earning your living by human trafficking, together with others includimng some fake , bogus Buddhist Monks. Exploiting on those who wants to come over.
I can't believe you will be such a lier, a bald faced lier Aung Thu.
Can you remember what your number was? Surely you must know.
Did you show everybody what you did on the ballot paper YES or NO, before you sealed it and cast it in the ballot box ?
If you did not show it, it was a secret vote, your secret.which nobody know. If I put you a question you will answer you voted NO. But the truth you and you alone will know. Isn't it? Because it was supposed to be secret.
You could argue, this is " Da Joung Da Gar Htar - Ta Ywar Da Bote San ". No you can't. This is not up to individuel Ambassadore in respective country, it came from Myanmar as standard procedures, in uniformity.
Everyone who have been to any Embassy to vote know that Aung Thu is a lier. The biggest one, have you thought of that.
Of course Aung Thu can be anybody. Anonymous , invisible?
How can Myanmar be safe in the hands of the opposition which consists of liers.
That is what the people of Myanmar are thinking right now, or since you opposition blundred and slandered. All you are doing is in favour of SPDC , did you realised that. SPDC is frying you in your own oil , they don't have to put too much efforts in to defeat you, people will do that for them.
Where there is a list , there are sereal numbers. Every kindergarten child can know that.
THERE WAS NO NUMBER ON THE BALLOT PAPER. I look at it, I studied it thoroughly . There was no number at all or which look like a number on the part you tick or cross.I looked at it carefully Because I knew you people will come up with such rubbis accusations and lies.
You are telling lies Aung Thu. You know that very well yourself. Remember you are not the only one who have been to the polling station. When you lie, every one will know.
May be this is standard lies of the oppositio, in uniformity.
Are you a Buddhist, then have some " Hiri Ou -ta-pa ". Have, fear and shame to do or to say what is not true, for the sake of the nation, for the sake of the people.
Once a lier always a lier, nobody will believe you anymore.
I have very much doubt you have been inside the Embassy to cast your vote. You are the one outside the Embassy with the red head band with fighting peacock.
I have published my my own experience in this matter.
I swear on Chrisna, Buddha, Jesus, Mohamed, on the Tipidaka, Bible, and on Koran and other that I am telling the truth, the whole truth, noting but the truth, so help me God, and help you too Aung Thu.

Dear MHK & Polaris,
The truth is the truth. It will win in the end.
Aung Thu exposed himself that he is an ignorent. I am afraid how many ignorant are there like Aung Thu.
Espcially people like Aung Thu, who said he lives in France should know all these procedures and rules. What a shame, what a waste
We need to educate them more for the sake of the nation for the sake of the people.
Regards,
Thunderbolts.
