How Great a nation be, depends on how Great its citizens are. We Myanmars sometimes refer to what J.F Kennedy said , ask not what the country can do for you, ask what you can do for the country.

There are many things that we don’t like about U.S.A. it has nothing to do with the people. It is the administration and its policies.

U.S.A is the best country that we can compare with Myanmar with different races , different people from all over the world as US citizen, They don’t groan or moan they are all doing their part.

In our history we had interfere in another countries affairs, because of that it cost us our Kingdom, it cost us our country. Since then we Myanmar never interfere in another countries affairs again.

The affairs of Myanmar are our affairs, we should take care of our own affairs, we should take care of our own country and our own people. Our country and our people are our responsibility, nobody's else. We are responsible for our selves, we are responsible for our country. We should not let others interfere in our own affairs.

During Konbong Dynesty with good intention we let foreigners come to our country to learn from them to trade with them to do business instead they interfere in our affairs, we let them interfered in our affairs . We are left with nothing but mistrust among our people. Our leaders are trying to rebuilt our nation for us we must help them by playing our part from our rightful places.

Today a Myanmar woman influence by foreign on her own or under the instructions of her connection, trying to meddling the affairs of Myanmar. We can’t even have a good, meaningful conversation among ourselves.

The New Constitution, how many Myanmars have read that green book of New Constitution which has 15 chapters, 457 sections in 194 pages. Every Myanmar should know them by heart by now, in the interest of ourselves, in the interest of our people and in the interest of our nation.

In the last forum I have been publishing these basis principals for the new constitution, under my original pen name of Mogyothwar. Some people with seriousness of course but many people were following without any seriousness, . Only one of them came up with the issue of Union flag, that I remember.

We have our representatives, and delegate from all walks of life in the NC and they have decided that how we will handle our own affairs , in what ways and how. We have to trust in them and help them to make it work at least to try and make it work.

How many people read the basis principles with interest I have no idea. In today's forum we know how many people view it, though they don't make any reply. That is what I like about this forum. We can see how many people pay attention. How many have their interest in their country’s affairs. But in the last forum, we could not know how many paid attention to our matters Pro or Con doesn’t matter as long as we have our interest in our affairs. By now everybody should have digested this New Constitution.

When Ma Su Kyi and NLD said they have not enough time for it, I really was surprised, not to mentioned they did piss me off. What were they doing all these years? They should know it has to come one day and they should be prepared and ready for it. Besides they were having regular meetings, gatherin s etc., what were they doing? Of course Ma Su Kyi is inside so are some other NLD leaders. That doesn’t mean NLD is a dead snake without the head. What sort of political party is that? All functions stops. They can do nothing without her. What can we hope from that kind of political party for us , for our country? A train without the engine? From the very beginning I did not support NLD. Becase. I know what it is and who they are or what are they capable of.

Public inside and outside have been informed thoroughly, during all these years yet to my surprise some people in Yangon are still saying that they know nothing about it. I took some of my relatives in a Taxi and went straight to the book shop at the top of 30th street opposite Scott market and showed them . There are lots of books about New Constitution and its basis principles in Myanmar language some of them in English as well. I bought some books for them, including the latest New Constitution in Green book form. They found no more words, they were chocked. Whether they will read them or not after I left Myanmar is totally another matter. Kyan Sit Thar could not save Saw Luu Min.

They don't know what a constitution look like before. In the end they found a constitution which is not Shwedagon Pagoda nor Sule, nor Botahtaung. Theuy found there are no Four Noble Truths, no Eight Fold Path nor 38 Mingalas in it. But what they don’t know is they are all in it, in different ways an form.

A constitution is for a nation how it will be govern through legislative, executive and judicial powers. It will take the sufferings away, it will make you do the right thinking do the right things. And finally it will make everybody happy.

Myanmars are very good at “ yaw - yeain , bathar - yein” they are wai lai lais.

You have to read it first, understand it, digest it, then decide to say yes or no. 194 pages written in very simple Myanmar language is easy to understand for Myanmar who can read and write. Tick as YES if you like it, cross as NO if you don't like it. But you've got to cast your vote. It is your right. Exercise your rights through voting. You have been waiting for this one chance all these years. By you not casting one precious vote of yours can cost the nation. By not casting your precious vote from your heart , you may even be violating your own rights as well as other people's right. Others may be relying on your vote. Your one vote can make a decision.

When you are given a right to vote you should honour your own right. True, you also have a right not to vote. Do you think it is wise not to vote knowingly your one vote will decide the outcome , the future of Myanmar or your own future?

There was a chance for some political parties especially NLD to take part in drafting the new constitution. In my view NLD was not wise. They blown it. Here is another chance to say YES or to say NO for everybody.

Like any other constitution, this constitution says we can amend it when necessary. To amend some section it will need 20% to 75 % of the delegates to agree to the amendments in some case they have to puit to the people for referendum.

Participation of 25 percent of unelected Tatmadaw delegates in the Hluttaws, Better than the whole Tatmadaw (SPDC) ruling the country. Let us look at this way. 75 percent of the government is replaced by the people elected reps and .
This 75 percent is to be united to over rule the 25 % of the Tatmadaw delegates.
I honestly believe as long as this 75 percent observe non- disintegration of the Union, non- disintegration of the national solidarity, perpetuation of Sovereignty, this 25 percent Tatmadaw delegates will interfere the decision of the Hluittaws.

I believe that SPDC is doing everything possible to informed the people of this New Constitution. During and after the National Convention. through daily papers, TV and so on. If one Myanmar say he/she doesn’t know. About it that is their own ignorance. Ignorant of the law ( constitution ) is not an excuse.

How many people were following those PI. I have no way of knowing but I dare say they have other interests rather then New constitution. Korean movies, DVD and football match especially world cup, UEFA Championship cup, Myanmars will stayed late to watch them, inverters, power generators are busy because they cannot afford to miss a match.

You ask them anything about foot ball, famous players and popular clubs. They will tell you everything by heart some of them you don‘t even know, or heard of.
But when you ask them about New Constitution, they become the Tauk-te (gagko) which was run over by the bullock cart.

Myanmars are funny people in many ways. They rely on one another, they rely on hear say, whisper and rumours. When you ask them a specific question, they cannot answer, because they don’t know, they will say somebody told them , they don’t even know who that somebody was. Myanmars are Jacks of all trade , master of none I should say.

Myanmar words such as “ Solarr - Solarr ”. Solarr is Sarr Lo meaning lack of salt. When there is not enough salt, the dish is tasteless. Are the Myanmars living in fear ? No, I don’t think so. Fear is for those who are ignorant. Myanmars fear nothing., they are not that ignorant.

Myanmar are not interested in Myanmar politic, economy or social affairs. Whoever rules Myanmar they believe their life won’t change a bit. As long as they have something to eat, something to wear, and somewhere to live a roof over their head, they are happy even in the middle of a field, they don‘t mind. They don’t even care whether it is zinc sheet roof, thatch roof or clay roof, a hut or a house or a flat , they don’t care.

There are so many original or indigenous ethnic races in Myanmar and also crossed breed such as Tayote Kabyars, Kalar Kabyars , Ingalate Kabyars a nd all other Kabyars. Who are Myanmars hard to say.

Bogyoke Ne Win tried to make all people in Myanmar regardless of their origin as Myanmars citizen. He put the economy in the hands of Myanmar. He tried to make Myanmar one nation for all people as one. Some people didn’t see it that way. Because they don’t know how important it is for Myanmar to be free, independent sovereign nation. These are the people who went to US or UK or any other country and become citizen of those countries. These are the people who never contribute anything to make Myanmar great, but they don’t hesitate to live in Great Countries where they never contribute anything to make that country great. They live and enjoy on other people’s land where other people build with their blood, sweat and tears.

They are the free riders, who talk about freedom. Freedom for themselves, they are the “ I am all right Jacks”. I am talking about the constitution. And the

1947 is long gone, 1974 is gone, the past and they are history. We were in trouble because of 1947 constitution or 1974. As a matter of fact it was because of ethnic problems. As a matter of fact some people did not consider themselves as Myanmars . Outside influence or not, we are who we are. As long as we don’t forget who we are ., and we have to live together whether we like it or not.

All these years among majority of all national races in Myanmar, there was not much problems or troubles as much as other countries. Of course there are some narrow minded racists and nationalists in every society. They are like bed bugs or thorns on the side. These minorities were secretly and some times supported by outsiders. Nobody can deny because of these minorities, Myanmar is legged behind. Myanmar is not developed as much as it should be. Besides those who supports the rebels insurgents wants Myanmar to be busy, producing nothing. living and relying on others. until monies run out. They are chocking and strangling Myanmar. They did it since 1885. Lucky Myanmar lasts so long.

With these bitter experiences now we have created another new constitution. We hope this 2008 constitution will make all people in Myanmar united, to do their parts. They not only have their rights they have to perform their duties or responsibilities as good citizens.
