TIBETO - BURMAN TRIBE ? 2 Months ago Karma: 5
Dear Patriots.

Turmoil in Tibet is nothing new. A country will be in turmoil. whenever somebody from outside involved in the internal affairs of others. As we ourselves are the decendents of the Tibeto Burman tribe , we should pay a little bit of interest to Tibet. Because Buddhist Monks are involved.

Tibet and the Buddhist Monks are the talk of the town today. Some Myanmars may have taken a pleasure talking about. But how much do they know about Tibet. Now is the chance to look into books, and records.

Monks in politic, or religion in the politic. Every one is entitled to his/her opinion. They have their views, let's respect that. .

Tibet is nothing much different from Myanmar , it's history could go back to over 1500 years, including British involvement in Tibet internal affairs. We Myanmars are once known as Tibeto-Burman. British were involved in Myanmar in the past as well as today in Myanmar's affairs in the name of democracy and human rights. How much democracy and human rights that we had under British. Is that democracy and human they are after or are they after something else?

In 6th century Tibet became a powerful centralised Buddhist Kingdom from several loose tribal federation. Three hundred years in 9th century the Kingdom disintegrated Tibetan Generals and Chieftains established themselves in separate territories .

Mongol conquest of the Kingdom in 12th century led to the installation of the religious leader Saskya Lama as the viceroy of Tibet. In 13th century leaders of Phag-mo-gru monastery ousted the Mongol power and asserted their own hold over Tibet.

A reform Buddhist group called Yellow Hat Order or Dge-lugs-pa rapidly gained power in the early 15th century the head of the order was given the title Dalai Lama by the Great Mongol leader Altan Khan. With the of the Mongols Dge-lugs-pa order became supreme rulers of Tibet .

In the early 18th century Chinese invaded Tibet ending Mongols influence over the country and placing Dalai Lama under their control. After the republican revolution in China in 1911 , Tibet with the help and aid of the British, declared its independence .

The PR China reconquered Tibet and a treaty was signed in 1951, that undermined the authority of Dalai Lama. After a popular uprising in 1959, steps were taken to integrate Tibet into China. Tibet is now a part of China. Like Burma was, once a part of India, until 1935.

It is worth having a look at The history of Tibet in Micropaedia, The politic, economic and social progress and developments of that Tibet. How Tibetans as well as the Buddhist Monks were treated by those national and foreign rulers of Tibet in their times.

Coincident or not, Michael Aris, the late beloved British husband of Myanmar’s opposition leader Ma Su Kyi was a Tibetan expert. Ma Su Kyi herself may know a thing or two about Tibet and its history. She may even has some Tibetan and British tricks and ideas in her politickingin Myanmar.
Myanmar and PR China have a good relationship. The so called International community wants to break the China up. they want PR China and Myanmar relation breaks up. It is nothing secret.

Buddhist Monks in Myanmar were involved in politic from time to time. The latest was a funny thing. They went on the streets and protested against rising patrol price in November 2007 . No matter how funny it may be, the message was quiet clear. In their view, their prayers and meditation could not help Myanmar’s worsening situation to get better. They need a place in Myanmar society otherwise they could become another endangered human spicies of special class.

If someone asks what are the military generals and the Buddhist Monks in common, someone will difinately will answer, thatT tey are another kind of Buddhist Military Generals in Myanmar or even in Tibet, they are above everyone and above everything, they are the holiest of all the holies.

Buddhist Monks are the soft touch of the politic in Buddhist nation which created the opportunity for foreign power to take advantage on the situation and intervene in the internal affairs of a nation to their own interest and benefit.

The politicians who uses the Buddhist Monks as weapon in their political game to get power must be really desperate, they may have no more other options. They don’t even consider where they are taken Buddhism to, what will become of the nation when Buddhist Monks rule. That's what happened to Tibet. The country gone weak with its ruler Dalai Lama as God King.

Because of a few Muslim terrorists or extremists , Islam is under threat. Islam gets bad names. Islamic countries are being attacked and invaded, Muslims being killed every day, every second of the minute and every minute of the hour.

For example before the Afghanistan and Iraq war, the price of oil was about US$ 60 a barrel and now they are over US$ 100 a barrel. In Britain the price of a gallon of patrol is now £ 5 (US$ 10) which is about Ks 25,000 per gallon.
Which oil companies are benefiting from those oil rich nations? Your guess is better than mine.

In Myanmar a gallon of patrol is now is about Ks 5, 000. Myanmar’s earnings are low or negligible, but the price of oil or patrol cannot be ignored.

If Myanmars enjoy travelling in bullock carts and sampan that will be OK, no need to put up the price, no need to import the oil . If Myanmars prefer to live under the candle light ( romantically ) , still needs to import oil to make candles.

All Myanmars should know living is not cheap, freedom is not cheap, because oil price is not cheap, nothing is cheap, even to die is not cheap. It has nothing to do with SPDC either. If SPDC could invade an oil rich country, the people of Myanmar will be swimming in the lakes of oil. They may have everything they want. But again if they don’t work hard their good life will be short live.

Regards,

Thunderbolt
