Is it Disciplined Democracy? 7 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 3
Dear all,

Here is the news By Irrawaddy saying that:

Three Rangoon men were arrested on Friday for casual comments they made about the Burmese referendum and general election, according to sources.

A businessman who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Irrawaddy on Monday that three car brokers at the Rangoon car market were taken away by Burmese special police after they made casual comments in support of the main opposition National League for Democracy.

“Members of the USDA [Union Solidarity and Development Association, the pro-junta mass organization] came and talked about the new constitution and referendum at the car market on Friday,” said the source.

“Then the brokers told the USDA members in joking that they ‘should not waste their time’ because in the final days people would vote as recommended by the NLD [led by Aung San Suu Kyi]. Later the special police came and arrested three of them.”

So, what is that? What is happening in Burma? This is what SPDC is talking about disciplined democracy? Why is USDA doing campaign for referendum?

SPDC is not confident enough? What a shame?

And NLD is not illegal organization? People has right to say their like and dislike? They are not saying anything bad about SPDC and constitution OR they are not saying F**K Than Shwe or SPDC.

If the situation is like this, it is doubtful for the coming referendum.

Why not leave people themselves as they already have in their mind what to vote.

Enough is enough.

Don't be so greedy and you will get nothing in the end.

I am here to urge all Burmese people to vote "NO" to the referendum who really wants meaningful and real democracy, also free under the military boot for future generations.

Don't let SPDC have chance to say that this constitution is approved by people. So that nobody in the world could say any thing to SPDC and SPDC will do whatever they want to people even worse than now.
