It is important the people of Myanmar know about this constitution, and understand it. They people of Myanmar must share its purpose, understand its requirements, and in the end make it work.

Myanmar sees no conflict between races, religious values and economic progress. They are not enemies, they are natural allies. We do not seek confrontation we seek them as useful means towards a better life, with greater security and more over leisure .

It is not necessary to tell the people that war and insurrection quite apart from being a moral outrage are destructive, wasteful and costly. We have seen enough of that. Yet it must be emphasized that until peace is fully restored throughout our nation , we cannot push ahead with maximum speed in building our beloved Myanmar.

Myanmar can become one of the most prosperous nation in all Asia.

In this Future Myanmar we can enjoy high standard of living, health and security for our people , and social justice for all.

We can remain faithful to our past , yet live consciously and gladly in the
twenty first century.

We can proudly independent , yet a willing partner in the community of nations.

We can blend successfully the religious and spiritual values of our heritage with the benefits of modern technology..

To the creation and perpetuation of this great Future Myanmar, we bend our backs and commit our hearts.
