Let us suppose. 2 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 5
Dear Patriots,

“ GOD helps those who help themselves”. This is avery familier phrase don't you think? I cannot say that is right or wrong. I can only say that is different from Buddhist teachings.

If that is the case and if those who can help themselves, why should they need help from God?

Encouraging those to do something for themselves by themselves, may be. That is how I want to understand it. We have to do it ourselves, nobody will do it for us.

In Myanmar there was once “ Ko Htu Ko Hta Sanit ”. For example when building a new road, or repairing the old one, the cost of it will be half by half between the government and the public.

Is the Government God? Who is that GOD who will help those who helps themselves?

Visiting the Pagodas on a regular basis, meditating in the centres and Phongyi Kyaungs or Churches or Temples or Mosque and saying prayers to have peace of mind, won’t help a thing for the nation, for the people . You will be lucjy that you won't be accuse of living in fear. By sitting in those places quoietly won't make what is happening around get better, instead, it could get worse.

Are you responsible or not responsible for your own nation, for your own people, for your own family and for yourself. If you are not responsible for these, then who is? If you are then take the responsility.

Myanmars used to be very proud people with very beautiful tradition and cultures, who used to help others as well as themselves, something like community works, with full of family spirit.

Where are these family spiritgone? Where that beautiful tradition and that pretty culture gone? Some people told the Myanmars that volunteering is considered as forced labour. They make Myanmars believe that they should not do anything for anybody unless they are paid for their labour. Helping each other free is violating human rights, undesirable.

Ko Htu Ko Hta system is gone. Today Myanmar solely depends and relying on others. They expect payments. or they want government to do something for them yet they don't pay the government(tax) to do things for them.

If that is the case, why are they feeding the Monks free, why are they making Danna and donations giving away their earnings without getting anything back. Without knowing there is a place for them in Nirvana? How can they be sure there is a place for them in Nirvana if they look after the Buddhist Monks? Are they defying Buddha who said, “ Thada Wah Takhu - Kan Takhu ”. How many steps we have to go through to get to Nirvanna? There are books about Buddhism to read in every language, no need to listen to the Buddhist Monks. You read the books and you will learn. The books are teachers.

Are we following the wrong translation of Buddhism or are we practicing the wrong interpretation of Buddhism or are we taught wrongly about Buddhism by the Buddhist Monks? That is for learned people to discuss.

When Bogyoke Aung San warned the people of Myanmar in his very last speech that they cannot expect “ Paday Thar Bins ” will come out of the ground, they did not understand him. When he said people have to work hard, they did not know what he was talking about. The people think these have nothing to do with them. These are the responsibilities of a government. The peoples’ are to enjoy their lives. Their only duty is to vote and elect a government. As long as a government is elected by them, all the responsible are with the government, nothing to do with them, the people, is that it?

Myanmnar is a free nation The PEOPLE of Myanmar are FREE, FREE from any responsibility. They can say what they like, they can do what they like , they will do what they like and so on.

Do the Myanmars need to change or not? Will they change or somebody has to make them changed ? Who will change them and how?

There may be a change of government in Myanmar sooner than later, possibly in 2010 as you all already know. When I asked are we ready nobody answered.

Some people are saying the time slot ( May 2008 & 2010)is rather tight. They forgot that is what many want, speedy towards democratization. If SPDC takes longer, they will get the blame, now when SPDC declared when, SPDC cannot escape the critics either.

Whether time slot is tight or not SPDC has to do it, because it is necessary and it is the right thing to do. How will the people respond to it , is the peoples’ business. That is what they want that is what they are getting .

If you have doubts, if you have suspicions about SPDC, as always or as usual then, let us have a doubt. Let us suspect SPDC about May referendum and 2010 elections .

Do they want to wash their hands?

Why is SPDC doing this? Nobody expected , everyone was surprised when they announced. Why not it was unexpected why was it a surprise? What was the meaning of this? SPDC said long ago what they would do, step by step. By announcing it SPDC said, the time is right, conditions are right.

If I bel;onged to a political party , if the time is right and if the conditions are right, that is what I would do. while it is to my favour, in my favour I wopuld call the elections. Sadly SPDC is not a political party.

Then what was that people were expecting? Do they want SPDC to hold on longer or forever? Do they want to see them gone? Do they want no referendum, no elections, but to handover power to NLD? That will be over their dead bodies.

Let us suppose that referendum and elections were there or they were finish and there was a new government in place.

Let us suppose, during or after the elections in 2010 , if there was anew government and incidents like 1988 happens. People with Dotes and Dahs roam around started killings and looting,

Let us suppose during or after the elections in 2010 if incidents like anti Chinese riots happens. Properties of the Chinese were set on fire destroyed

Let us suppose that during and after the election Police Station and military units were attacked by the mob.

Let us suppose during and after the elections, people of ethnic insurgents take the advantages Shan seizes Shan States , Kayin seizes Kayin States . Mon seizes Mon State and so on,

Let us suppose during or after the elections, if these kinds of incidents happens and the security forces such as Police and military units lock themselves in their Police Stations and in their barracks , doing nothing only prepared and ready to defend themselves from being attacked?

Let us suppose during and after the elections , when Muslims killing the Buddhist Monks, what will Bamars or other Buddhists do ? Will they go up to the Shwedagon and Sule and Botahtoung and say prayers? Will the Buddhist Monks recite the Pritta Suttas. Mitta Sutta?

How long can the people wait, how long can they have their patient ? Because new government is not a wizard. It will take time four or five years is nothing and nothing will happen within those years.

Foreign governments will be watching closely the steps and the moves of the new government.

Because there is more then politic in Myanmar . There is “ hatred”. This hatred is growing inside some people whoever they are supporting. Some people strongly believe Myanmar is going down because of SPDC and Sr Gen Than Shwe, some people strongly believe it is because of NLD and Ma Su Kyi.

In this sense this division is so great, it could be said “ the nation is divided.”

U Nu and U Ne Win were no exception. For Myanmars nobody was good enough for them. Lucky, Ko Aung San died so young. If he had lived long enough he won’t escape from the Myanmars.

In the country where Myanmars never think too much of anybody. Who will be in the NLD for the coming elections in Myanmar where people expect too much of too many things from too few people in too little time?

Who would be the fall guy this time ?

Dear Thunderbolts,

In these days I was silent but observing. Whe you asked everybody if we are ready? I don't know the others, but me I am ready.

As I said i would prefer that the amendment with >50% or >60% however, most of the constitution of the world is amendable only with >75%. Ours is different one. In fact the best is reducing the amount of military presence in the Parliament as you mentioned instead of making >50% or >60%.

But in order to reach to the normal constitution, we have to work hard. I see the referendum as an opportunity to create an environment for Nation Building, it is not perfect but we can work together hard for it can be as good as possible in near or far future. This is what i see. Nothing is perfect. There is no constitution that can not be amended on this world.

I think and hope that people are also for the change.

Nevertheless, I believe in the future of our country.
The only thing is we need to work hard and very hard.

Hopefully, Myanmars will understand that we need to rebuild our country on our own and will not fall down into any kind of wrong callings and actions.

[b]To thunderboots/thunderBS and mokejoke aka windmill (spinner)

In Christian faith. To achieve a person's goal that person not only had to ask help (pray) FROM God, but also he/she must act/move in effort to achieve that goal. Praying alone is not sufficient in real world, a human's endeavor to pursue for the goal is also needed. They need help from God because God is the ONLY supernatural ultimate "being" that creates "everything" including humans. In other words God can do what man cannot do.
Government consist of human beings, some are intelligent and some are idiots. When a government is tilted with more idiots than intelligent ones, it will mess up everything for the idiots, they don't know or understand what they are doing thus damaging the entire nation and the people. That God is the one and only TRUE Creator of ALL things including the universes. The supreme intelligent one. The omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. In other words the supreme being that knows everything, present in all places at all times and had authority/influence/judgement on everything. In short and simple word the "Supreme Intelligent Being". Humans are much much lesser in terms of knowledge or intelligence.
Praying inconjunction with helping oneself or one another, one house hold, one community, one county, one state at a time will contribute tremendous achievement for the household, community, county, State and the entire Nation (States combine).
Talking is cheap, understanding and staying on top of problems is hard, implementing is even harder. If the rulers do not take the responsibility then don't expect the people take it for the responsibility rested on the leaders first. What are leaders for? To lead the nation isn't it? The leaders have to lead or the followers have to lead? Don't make the cart pulls the cow.
All is destroyed by the military institution of Burma started and guided by General Ne Win since 1962 to date. Than Shwe is copying Ne Win's example.
Forced labor means instructing people to do AGAINST THEIR WILL. Do you understand that? Same as forcing sex againt the will of the woman is also rape. Do you understand that Mr Boots? or Mr. BS? Also to spinner windmill or MokeJoke as I call him. Any one can choose any user name they like, so am I. I will choose whatever name/names is/are appropraite to that particular person/persons.[b]
