It is my understanding that most people in Burma-Myanmar would not vote for a political party linked to the junta because of their reputation and performance.

This is also true of the people who work in the army. Soldiers according to the writings of thunderbolts actually feel some honor and take pride in their work. They are the protectors of the country. They are needed to keep invaders out. Their task is most honorable.

We all know that soldiers have done some nasty things, for example they shot a Japanese photographer, they shot monks and civilians walking in the street. But put your self in the shoes of a soldier with orders to do that. My question is are there soldiers who in the heat of the moment choose to fire over the heads of the monks? Who choose this because they are uncomfortable with the performance of the junta and their reputation. They choose this because their hearts tell them it is wrong and deserves no honor.

These soldiers are in the most difficult situation of wanting to carry out their orders, everyone knows that's what soldiers are trained to do and doing what is right in their own hearts.

My suggestion is to establish a political party that understands the soldier's heart and sense of honor and understands the future of the country that can make Burma-Myanmar a beautiful place with well fed happy people.

The idea of a constitution where the army plays any role in parliament is to invite cancer into the future of Burma-Myanmar. The army is a tool of parliament and the elected leaders. People get elected because people believe in their vision for the country. They hopefully have the skill and desire to do what is right for Burma-Myanmar. Would an elected person instruct the army to shoot at people for marching in the street?

Is this not the core of the problem? All you readers living outside of Burma-Myanmar who know the army will also know what you can do for the future of Burma-Myanmar. If you want the honor that thunderbolts talks of, if you want real honor my suggestion is to do what you can to make it happen.

Burma-Myanmar is calling out to you.

In any civilized, modern and advanced nation there are limitations, discipline, laws that control humans for humans have the tendency of committing abusive manners. It is some kind of an animal instinct. Sex, politics, money, wealth, position, power, greed and so on and on and if there is no line drawn, it is very dangerous for abusive manner is in the genes of every human. There is no such thing as a perfect human. So to offset this kind of animal instinct which kills or maim or use brute force to gain their power and status, humans do need some guidelines to adhere. Those who do not adhere can face punishment. That's why in civilized and modern nations there are courts, judges, lawyers etc. to see that any one who disobey and violate the laws will face punishment.
It is totally insane to give power to those who had the guns because of human nature. It is not balance to give "power" to those who had guns for there will occur abusive conduct of one side having all which means 'power' and 'guns' and the other side had nothing (no power and no guns). Balance is very important to maintain justice. It is appropriate to give the 'power' to the unarmed personals and like wise it is important NOT to give 'power' to those who had guns. This kind of checks and balances between the haves and have nots. It is common sense by giving power to guns owner (military) one side will be heavily tilted and thus the human nature of repression starts.
In every advance and modern nation, military is an institution. Look at the world. How many nations run by military? Not many. How many nations run by civilians? There are many. Why? Because civilized and advance people knows there are boundaries to adhere to check humans' nature of animal instinct. In fact there are many indications human are somewhat a kind of an animal species. The difference is humans have superior brains or intelligent minds over powering other animal species.
When the military institution concentrate on military matters it is more effective in defending the nation and the people in which the sole task or duty of the military is to defend the nation and the people. Not to rule or to make wealthy or to maim or to interfere into other institutions like agriculture, economy, politics, governance, judicial system, making laws etc etc etc.
When people cross the line complications and ramifications arise. As an intelligent and wise wisdom or vision one needs to accept and acknowledge the limits of mortal beings. We as humans are all mortal which means subject to imperfection, not permanent and fragile nature.
Do not think military can rule indefinitely for there will come new generations that are smarter, brighter, more intelligent than previous one for humankind is ever exploring, ever expanding knowledge and ever improving the endeavor of betterment and prosperity in terms of thinking, ways and means. Creating a better environment, pursuing for perfection is the norms of human instinct. Sticking to an old worn out, outdated mythology and misconceptions of holding all stakes by one institution is the fundamental flaw to begin with. With the sole intention of holding on to power by means of cheating, lying, cosmetic deceptive doctrines, gimmick or sham laws and so on will not last. Base on TRUTH, JUSTICE, FAIRNESS, BALANCE, HONESTY, TRANSPARENCY and most of all compassionate, passionate MINDS will make any nation achieve success for all including the military.

Burma or Myanmar can do IF there is genuine kind hearts/minds starting from the top. The top must first change it's attitudes, minds and behavior. Do not use tricks or misconceptions or mismanagement or misled for it will be a temporary gain if it ever gain or achieve. IF the top does not change its attitude and does not adhere to genuine honesty, fairness and justice there will not be genuine prosperity let alone for a successful modern, democratic and free/indendent nation. Burma will be the slave or satellite or puppet of one master or to the other as long as the government is guided or misled by misconception. Drafting laws is easy but attaining true, intelligent and wise laws is difficult, very difficult. Taking into accout of all angles and views can get the whole picture while going with one angle, one view can get a narrow partial picture which can subject to mistakes.

I sincerly hope Burma had true wise men and women with sincere hearts/minds building a true Union, one that reflects to ALL people/races living inside Burma.

Best regards.

Zynnyaw. (My motto................Knowledge is power and wisdom is insurance)
