Do you know who your enemies are? It is important for you to know. Do you know who the enemies of Myanmars are? DO you think you know them? Are you sure they are your real enemies ofr the enemies of Myanma?
RICE. This is not Condolesa Rice who is US secretary of State.
The rice I am talking about is nothing to do with her. The rice I am talking about is the rice that we Myanmars eat every day, noon and night as staple food. Myanamr is rice and the rice is Myanmar. Every Tom Dick and Harry eats rice in Myanmar. The animal eat rice in Myanmar. As long as there are plentiful of rice, Myanmar are happy.
Do you know there are many different kinds of rice in Myanmar. Aie Ma Hta, Medon, Paw San Mhwey, Nga Kywe. Nga Sein, Toung Pyan, Zabanet, Kaut Nhyin, San Lon Nyo etc., etc. But rice is rice. Myanmar don’t make quarrel over the name of rice. They don’t fight over the name of rice either.
Some English spoken people called it Burma, Myanmar spoken people call it Myanmar. Myanmars call their country Myanmar. Myanmar is Myanmarlong before we are born. Our ancestors call it Myanmar Naing Gan. In the State Seal of Myanmar’s last King Thibaw, Myanmar was called "Myanmar Naing Gan- Da Seit Taw."
Thailand used to be Siam. Sari Lanka was Ceylon, Kampuchea changed name many time which now called Cambodia. Rhodesia become Zimbabwe,, etc., etc. We never heard that there were disputes over the name. Nobody made a fuss of it.
But we Myanmar make the fuss over the name of Myanmar, big fuss. Because some of our Myanmars have nothing much worth to do they have all the time to argue over the name of our country. They have nothing to do but to moan and groan.
Even in the media it is always mentioned “ once it was called Burma” But they never explained or mentioned who called Myanmar, Burma. It could be argued that even Burma is not the bloody English, it derived from Indian. Word sounded like Ba ra ma. French who were in Myanmar in those days called Bir ma ni..
How many people followed with great interest the National Convention which laid down basic principals for drafting the New Constitution for future Myanmar. which is now believe to be in process. How many Myanmar paid great attention to the affairs of Myanmarand study them?
Republic of Myanmar, Union of Myanmar. United States of Myanmar, Federal Republic of Myanmar, Pyidaoungzu Myanamr Naing Ngan. Myanmar Naing Daw Socialist Republic of Myanmar Democratic Republic of Myanmar.etc., etc. But Myanmar is Myanmar
Sorry to say , up to this very minute some Myanmars are not interested in the future of Myanmar. Some Myanmars are not concern about the future of Myanmar, but they are only concern about the future of one particular individual namely Ma Su Kyi. What was their interest in her, what was her interest in Myanmar before 1988? That is another matter. Well those may also be her personnel matters I am no interested to talking about that today. Honestly, as I am away from her, I don’t know about her. I don't believe she has changed a bit.
I only want to know how many Myanmars have studied the basic principles which the future constitution is going to be based on.
I have in the old forum published some of them , I am not going to it again now. If they took no interest in it is no use telling them again.
If and after they have studied it, they can make out how Myanmar will be constructed, what is Myanmar to be called in future. Republic of Myanmar, Union of Myanmar. United States of Myanmar, Federal Republic of Myanmar, Pyidaoungzu Myanamr Naing Ngan. Myanmar Naing Daw, etc., etc.
Call it what you will, Myanmar won’t go away, Myanmar is Myanmar.
What are we going to do about it? Stop everything and continue arguing over the name of the country. Over the official name of the country for future? Over Fedreal or Union etc.?
When they were invited to National Convention they refused to come. They gave up their rights to discuss or debate in proper manner. They even withdrew themselves from the Convention, for what? In the interest of the nation?
In my view, that was a bull shit, a real bullshit. Well why not, it happened before in 1947 when Penglong Convention was held KNDO led by Hunter Tharmhwe and Saw Ba Oo Gyi did not take part though that constitution for Union of Myanmar was enacted by the Provisional Government of Myanmar headed by U Nu under the auspices of the British Governor Sir Hubert Rance, or under the influence of the British.
There are no British, nor France, nor European. No Russian. nor Chinese to influence in drafting the New Constitution which is in process or when the basic principles were laid down by the Myanmars in the NC. A New Constitution is in being drafted by the Myanmars. No British, no American, no Japanese, no Chinese no Russia. No guns on the heads of anybody. That alone is called INDEPENDENCE.
In future if any Myanmar politician drag in any foreign power to get involve or influence in Myanmar affairs like some of them are hinting today namely one traitor Aung Zaw.
This Aung Zaw will definately follow Khin OO Zar Latyar Pyan Chi in Myanmar history at the beginning of Konbon Dynesty. He happened to chosed the wrong side(Talaing), because of his mistrust for U Aung Zeya, the creator of Myanmar Naing Gan Daw.
Ma Su Kyi and NLD and some of her followers are shouting,
“ mother help me, father help me“. Ma Su Kyi may have other fathers and mothers apart from her own biological father and mother, but there are no other father or other mother for most of us, but our own biological mother and our own biological father. Nobody outside is our father or our mother. Nobody in heaven is our father either.
The idea of bringing in foreign troops is a very stupid, crazy one. Ma Su Kyi might call for foreign troops if and when she is in power, if the Constitution say so. Because she made the Tatmadaw her enemy from the very beginning There are some people in the opposition who are fit to be called “ Za Gaw Lout Mha - Zaut Ma Net Te Khweys ” who says Myanma Tatmadaw is the common enemy of the people
They don’t know who the real common enemy is. Yes Myanmar Tatmadaw imay be the common enemy of the War Lords and their private armies. Tatmadaw is not the enemy of democracy not the enemy of the people.
These private armies with the support of their mother’s husbands from outside have been threatening Myanmnar’s INDEPENDENCE since 1948. They have been threatening the existence of Union of Myanmar. Like it or not, accept it or not Gen Ne Win and the Generals from Myanmar Tatmadaw and Tatmdaw Thars are those who are protecting and defending Union of Myanmar.
The opposition does not see these private armies as common enemy or threat to Myanmar’s INDEPENDENCE. but they are seeing Myanma Tatmadaw as common enemy. That is also the danger to Myanmar’s INDEPENDENCE. How could they say such thing. , how could they talked without thinking. If that is the attitude of the opposition, if that is the thinking of the opposition, they have no brain , they have foul mouth and they are stink.
I always say, opposition does not know what to oppose or what not to oppose. The only thing they know is whatever SPDC does, they have to oppose, because they are opposition. If the opposition had that kind of attitude, that will be unfortunate for Myanmar and its people. Ma Su Kyi has to take the blame because she started.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going that’s the opposition’s way. Wise people said when the going is tough, compromise is the only way. Opposition does not understand that.
Myanmars is no Afghanistan which was once influenced by the Russian, Myanmar is not Iraq which was once influenced by the U.S.America before 1979 . Those who wants to turn Myanmar into those countries have to rethink again...
Yesterday Myanmar celebrated 60th anniversary of Myanmar’s independence. Still some people do not know what INDEPENDENCE means. They should ask their parents, if they are still living or had they taken part in the struggle for MYANMAR’S INDEPENDENCE.
Know your enemy. Know who your real enemies are.
