The backstabbing habit of Burmese Military Leaders.
After second world war, when Gen. Aung San has to leave the Army and serve the country as a national leader, he left the army in the hands of his trusted adjutant Bo Letyar, who is more educated and a gentleman than Gen. Ne Win.
Gen. Aung San worried that Ne Win might deceitfully misuse the army and torment the Burmese people someday. He knows Ne Win was tarnish bullying type, bad mouthed, bad behavior and adulterous. Ne Win might easily be corrupted.
What General Aung San didn’t know was Ne Win is also a traitor and a backstabber. Aung San trusted his comrades more than his brothers because they drink each other's blood and swear they will never betray each other. But crooked Ne Win broke his swear and waiting for a chance to betray his comrades. He stabbed the back of his close comrade Prime Minister U Nu and Defence Minister Bo Letyar at his very first chance.
Same as Than Shwe stab the back of his boss Gen. Saw Maung and his loyal military intelligent chief Gen. Khin Nyunt. New generation of today's army officers should not inherit that traitorous habit from Myanmar military leader like Ne Win and Than Shwe.
There were a lot of backstabbing cases among the military leaders in Burmese modern history. Lanbar Tin Oo stabbed Tun Lin, Kyaw Zaw and Than Sein, Lay Maung stabb Lanbar Tin Oo’s, Khin Nyunt stabbed Tun Kyi and Kyaw Ba, Than Shwe stabbed Saw Maung and Khni Nyunt, etc... that list will never end.
In fact they are not respected military leaders, they are killing each other like dogs.
