truthseeker,
Don't be hasty my dear TS. It is not me who does not understand what a bullock cart or what a horse cart is. If I did not know, I would not use the word “ bullock cart “ in the first place. I know you know what they are as well. Every Myanmars know what they are. When I put the word “ motorised “ in front of it. That’s all. What makes you think that I did not know?
You aid you are not the truthspeaker, so how would anybody know what you are saying to reply to me is truth or not, about this bullock cart.
Trying to teach your grand father how to suck eggs, eh? Is it possible that you are the one who does not understand? You puzzled. Glad you came back straight with a question. That's all I need.
After reading my message, you responded to me, but you really did not understand what I meant, may be you want to know more. So you put a simple question to me. That is good, very good. I like that. I like to have a nice conversation whenever possible.
I think I have explained enough in my message. It is easy for everybody to understand , but you. So for you to understand it, the first thing I should suggest is you to go and visit Myanmar, at least to Bagan and have a joy ride on a well decorated bullock cart, Then secondly I would ask you to get on a train or a coach running between Bagan and Mandalay and the train running between Mandalay and Yangon. Then only you will know what I mean by other vehicles are, " motorised bullock carts". I don't want you to believe me and accept me without question. That’s why when you put a question to me I said it is good. I want you to have your own experience, if you have none. Is that fair enough?
I also understand that you know what a Myin Hle ( horse driven ) and Nwar Hle ( bullock driven ) is. Do you also know what a “ Bon-byet “ is, what a “ Ya hta lon “ or “ Bidoh “ is ? The usages in the upper Myanmar and in lower Myanmar. Never mind about those.
But I am not sure whether you have been or have had experience in travelling in those carts for joy or with the purpose. If you have no experience it is hard for me or anybody to explain what it like to be travelling in the horse cart or bullock cart. Especially you claimed to be the “ truthseeker ” not the “ truthspeaker ”. What will you do if you find out the truth, keep your mouth shut or speak the truth, you clever boy?
Princes Alexander of Great Britain knows very well how it is to be on the bullock cart in Myanmar, because the late U Ne Win used to take her on tour around Bagan when she paid visit to Myanmar many years ago.
In Myanmar roads and railway lines are not like in the western countries. Most of them are weather beaten, poor maintenance if not neglected, even now at present day. One reason is the monsoon, nothing , nobody can stand against that monsoon. What you do today, it will be washed away the next morning. Myanmar is a poor country nothing she can do to last for centuries.
The wheels of those carts are not air pressured, they are wooden wheel , lined with rubber from the old car tires. The older ones are lined with steel strips. The carts of all kinds are not running on the smoothe surfaced tarred roads, but they are running on the “ Hle Lan Gyaung ” specially designated path for them. Bouncing, wobbling from left to right, jumping uyp and down. If you are not used to it, after a couple of hundred of yards ride, you will start feeling sick, your body will start ache and pain.
Travelling in the coaches running inter cities, let’s say Yangon to Mandalay, Yangon to Bagann or Mandalay to Bagan. It is just like sardins in the tins or the Myanmar’s Koung Nhyin Htotes, ( steamed glutinus rices with banana). The seatings are so small, you can't even move yourlegs or hands.
I know Myanmar is Myanmar. What I am trying to say is for Myanmar to become a modern developed nation, the authorities must have take these into consideration and do the best they can. It is not acceptable to put the blame on the economic sanctions, as there are many countries which does not complies with the sanctions.
The authorities must do their utmost, not to turn Myanmar into a dump yard, with all the scraps.
No denying that Myanmar needs all round developments, that is what SPDC is concentrating on. If it can afford it, good luck. But what if that all round developments are all rubbish. Myanmar rather have one best one at a time. To renovate Yangon to be modern city to fit as a Naypyidaw will cost billions. It has to be flattened to the ground and rebuilt verything To have a new modern city somewhere else will not cost that much. The new Naypyidaw near Pyinmana is a vast city still in process.
Other developments including electricity are in process to better Myanmar and the lives of Myanmars. SPDC has no magic wand.
This issue “ motorised bullock carts ” I am talking about is in the hands of the private citizens, they are running making big profits with negligible running costs.
The fair to Mandalay from Yangon will cost from Kyats 3, 050 to Kyats 9.500, for single journey, the same distance but different class, for different class of people. Tickets have to be bought three days in advance. Sales starts at 6.0’ clock in the morning, by 06:45 a.m. all seats are sold at the ticket office. Have to buy out of the reserved seats with special price.
Pessangers including monks and nuns are sleeping on the platforms some with their mosquito nets up waiting for the midnight express.
How can you blame SPDC ? The businesses are actually in the hands of the business people in Myanmar. Government (SPDC) owns almost nothing.
Yes the only thing we can blame SPDC is, for not controlling them, everything is out of control. But SPDC would say, no, we don’t control them, because they want to be free of government interference. That is the freedom they were seeking. We will print the money, that what the people wants to see the money, brad new notes every now and again. The people don’t care for the quality, they only care for the quantities. That the Myanmar ways. If somebody cares for quality, that some body is out of touch with Myanmar, that somebody forgets who or what or where he came from. Full stop.
Now I hope you have the understanding of my
" motorised bullock carts ", and many more.
When you fix the bullock cart with a motor to run, it will run a bit quicker, but nothing different from the same bullock cart. Only thing missing will be the poor bullocks.
How can you be so thick to understand that TS. Btw, if you see cart, whether there is a horse or bull nearby, you should know whether it is bullock cart or horse cart or lanchar ( RICKSHAW )pulled by the man or trishaw which is another kind of carriage attached to a bicycle powered by man. These last two are mnot called " human cart ", because they are powered by human.
If you want to have a nice cinverstion you are always welcome TS. If I think I cannot converse with you properly, then I'll stop conversing with you, OK?
Just because you are a fool, don't make others fools. That's a bad habit TS, very bad.
Have a nice day,
