Myanmar saying is “ Tha Jar Min Kywe Young Saung Pya Da Toung - Jo Kar de Lo Pyaw they “. Even the creation of King of the Deva could not make some one happy. It is very difficult to satisfy or to please a person, let alone 52 million people or even a fraction of them.
People of Myanmar wants democracy. International community wants democracy, NLD wants democracy . SPDC has introduced seven steps road map to democracy for Myanmar, to build Myanmar into a modern developed nation. Believe it or not is another.
Myanmar was a democratic country People of Myanmar had democracy and democracy was never far away from Myanmar. They even had socialist democracy We all must admit that we all have failed to make democracy to take root in Myanmar. We all are responsible for our own failure.
Everybody has their own opinion. own views from their own perspective.
I said democracy did not take root in Myanmar. It may be because not all Myanmars are democrat,. Myanmars did not know the value of democracy, so Myanmars did not treasure it, Myanmars did not take care of it. So they lost it. Yet democracy was not very away from Myanmars. Another way to look at it is may be not all Myanmars want democracy. I may
be wrong. Myanmar had their democracy easy way to compare with today.
Myanmar were fighting for the independence from British. Since then democracy for Myanmar was in doubt. British laid many obstacles
Myanmar leaders had no choice. Their priority was Myanmar to get independence. Kayin did not take part in building democratic Myanmar. Communist had to be kick out.
Today Myanmars wants democracy again . May be they have missed democracy. May be they regret that they had not realised the value of democracy, they regret they did not take care of it. They long for it they want it back again. If they had it would they know the c=value of it and take care of it it?
In my view, all Myanmars are dictators. It may be in their blood. Myanmars are weak in many other things. Among them they don’t accept that there are different of opinion, different views and from different perspective.
Through many teachings, even Myanmars know there are differences, they do not know these differences should be and could be discussed. The problem is they don’t know how to talk. The reason Myanmars are so used to live under absolute monarch or their way of life through their religion(Buddhism) makes them weak.
Now when Myanmar comes out , they come out like the horse which comes out of the stable It was not even an ordinary horse, it was a Unicorn with the horn It s hard to control. Running wild and free.
To put it politely, running wild and free is not the freedom we are hoping for, Running wild and free is not what it mean by freedom. Myanmars should know. I don’t think anybody will teach the. Because the people of Myanmars are being used by the politicians as weapons. The politicians try to control them/
It must be and it should be the people who controls the politicians. It must be and it should be the people who put politicians under their control. As politicians are clever people, , very cleave people, the people must be more cleave than them to control the . Like it or not everything and every body must be under control.. Nobody should be allowed to run wild and free.
As I have said to control the politicians the people must be more clever than them. Here the clever means “ common sense.” With the “common sense” to check the politicians
All Myanmars 52 million of them cannot take public. Since the first governments was formed, those who are to be in the government are given the task to work for the people. Some leaders are self made,. Some are chosen by the people to lead them. No people should be less educated than the leaders or the politicians. No people must be ignorant for the politicians to manipulate them. No leaders are more educated than the people. If the people are less educated than the leaders, then the people will be under the control of their leaders, whether they are elected or self made.
Today in Myanmar leaders are trying to talk. There are many things to talk about , I know, of course for the future of Myanmar future of the people of Myanmar. Where will they start On whose terms and what conditions?
This morning I heard on the news, that United States alone will be spending 3.5 trillion dollars for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. That is the spending of US alone. Nobody says anything about how much other allied countries in the war will be spending yet.
It does not say how much US and allies are profiting from the spoils of the war in Afghanistan and in Iraq, now the price of oil is over around ninety dollars a barrel. I do know that if there is no income there is no spending.
Myanmar can’t even afford a fraction of those spending to wage war or to build the nation. Yesterday I said , “ Bring me the money I will build you a castle fit for the King.” Myanmar has no income Myanmar cannot spend. Some people are deliberately making difficult for Myanmar to earn monies ( revenues ) and saying Myanmar government is not doing anything for the people.
Of course Myanmar government, in the past or at present has defence spending, because it is necessary. The war within Myanmar was not started by the governments of Myanmar, it was not created by the government. The government of Myanmar was using the revenue in defending Myanmar, not offending others. If there is no more war in Myanmar some of the defence spending will be diverted to other channels to build the nation.
As I have said above, the people , the people. The people must control the politicians. AT the same time does the people really want reconciliation, national unity. Peace tranqulity progress and developments in Myanmar? Then they have to show them to the politicians The people must first reconcile . They must come unite, to make all the leaders to do what they want.
If the people are still fighting, they will be fanning the fire. Because the leaders wikl act accordingly.
