Chairman of Taninthayi Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Coastal Region Command Maj-Gen Khin Zaw Oo and Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Brig-Gen Maung Maung Thein attended a meeting on all-round development tasks and community peace and tranquillity held at the meeting hall of Dawei District PDC Office and made speeches on the occasion on 23 September.

Next, the commander and the minister inspected renovation of Dawei airport and gave instructions on renovation of the airport to meet the set standards and emphasis to be placed on maintenance for its durability.

While in Youngmaw village of Dawei District, the commander and the minister paid homage to Jaw Pagoda (Hlekyaungtaw) and donated cash for all-round renovation tasks.

Afterwards, they viewed construction tasks of the lake and hydropower station in Thayetchaung Township. The power station can produce 90 kilowatts. Next, they paid homage to Shinmoathti Pagoda in Dawei and donated cash for all-round renovation tasks.

After that they looked into the poultry farm belongs to Dr Maung Ni in Dawei and gave instructions on focusing on bio security and production of disease-free foodstuff.

After paying homage to Shinpin Khayu Pagoda and made cash donations.

Dear Zia,

Of all the people, I can't believe that you should lend some shreds of decency (far too inapproriate to use the word credibility) to this 'rag' by posting it here.

On the other hand, I should not complain since I believe in freedom of expression. It's for those who read to judge.

I can sympathise with those journalists who have to write such nonsense. If you have come across Stanley Milgram's book, "Obedience to Authority" then you will know what I mean.

I also believe in freedom of express so i think its useless and wastage of time to answer yourr odd comments

You may chose not to waste time to respond to my comments but I pity you for spending time on the rag "New Light of Myanmar". We have a saying in Burmese, "You can't teach a sow (or a buffalo if you like) to appreciate classical music."
