I have worked in the beautiful town for over two decades before my retirement and heard that it has totally changed.

You know people are using MANY NAMES to register AND PARTICIPATE IN this forum and whenever I counter with true facts, he always avoid and disappear simply because he cannot come WITH TRUE FACTS JUST BLAH BLAH BLAH AS USUAL.

Can you update me the following so that I can talk more about it.

1) What is the elevation of Taunggyi?

2) Which school is the best now?

3) Do we have a rail link to Taunggyi now? Do we still have to go Shwe Nyaung to take a train to Yangon?

4) What about the bus station to Yangon? Still at the big bus station in Hopong?

5) What did they do with Kyar Gaung (Tiger head) now? Heard that they are going to build a new six storey building. Is it true?

6) What is the name of the school opposite that?

7) I have heard that the way road to Nyaung Shwe has a very good road now (four lanes) as it is a tourist area. Is it true?

8) What about electricity in Taunggyi, it is regular? Where did they get the power from? Still from the old power plant near Ku-Nyi-Gone?

9) I am wondering what happen to Myodaw and Yoma cinema halls. Are they still running? With the decline of movie goers, I hope they are still operating.

10) I heard that Taunggyi Myanma Economic Bank is too old (built in 1959) and not suitable for a bank anymore and will be moved to a better place. Is it true?

11) Also heard that Saya Kyaung is going to build a big Kambawza bank near Sao San Htun hospital. Is it true?

12) Heard that Taunggyi has a new Government Office which houses the entire department recently. Is it true?

13) What is the name of a new satellite town of Taunggyi (Myo Thit)? Aung Tha Bye or Aung Thar Yar Aye?

14) By the way, I heard that the village where Aung Kham Hti (PNO, arms for peace group) staying near Kutku pagoda is now pronounce as a town? What is the name of that new town? Kutku Aung instead of Kutku ywa?

15) Last not least, where do they celebrate and launch the hot air balloon now? Is it still at the old football ground? I am sure that you will agree with me that it is the best Thadingyut festival that Taunggyi ever has.

I have seen people saying that they are from Taunggyi but actually they don’t have any clue about it. They just used the name for convenient purpose and for ly he minority names such as Sai, Saw, Nai, Salai etc.
