Here are my top three destinations if you're spending summer weeks in Philippines:

Hot and Cold Springs of Camiguin Island
Want to shed few founds with the least amount of activity? Dip yourself at the Ardent Hot Springs, Camiguin Island (1-hour flight from Manila). Right after, drive 15 minutes to the Cold Spings. Relaxing...Other attractions here are Katigbawasan Falls, Sunken Cemetery, Church Ruin (forgot exact name), Stations of the Cross that you would have to hike. Don't forget to buy their delectable Pastel bread (2 Dollars for a box of 10-12).

White Sands of Boracay Island (Cebu)
If you're curious to find out how it feels like to sleep on a bed of iodized salt, then, fly to Cebu.

Coral and Caves at El Nido Lagen, Palawan
Satisfy your taste for adventure and the exotic.

I may not be giving you reliable survey as there more than 7,000 islands in the Philippines and I've only gone to five. Regardless, you owe me your THREE IMPRESSIONS of my beloved country, in return for the above.

When in Manila, may I suggest you visit the ff:

1.) Intramuros
2.) Rizal Park
3.) Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard

Bohol- rich marine life and cave swimming (panglao)! the tarsiers (exotic animals) you will instantly love! and don't forget to climb those steps in the chocolate hills! what a delight indeed!

Donsol, Sorsogon- you actually get to swim with whale sharks! amazing site and they don't bite. pure bliss =)

Tagaytay-the Taal lake (volcano) is a site to behold. go boating and trekking! play golf, get a massage or dine at the mouth watering restaurants around the area! spend the night at the bed and breakfast areas surrounding the place. =)
