Thinking the unthinkable:
Limited Nuclear war is inevitable in 21st Century. When I say 21st Century, it is
within another 90 years in the future from this year. Building the Network of tunnels within Myanmar is a preparation for the unthinkable.
Myanmar military should never forget the humiliation it suffers from Thai military superiority during the skirmishes in 2001 and 2002 battles between the Tatmadaw and Thai forces. The skirmishes are the wake up call for the need of modernization for Myanmar military.
Gone are the old days of battles on the grounds. Those are 20th Century and before. High technology will play a major role in the future battles. Those who possessed high tech systems and armaments will decide the war. Those who ruled the sky will decide the fate. Supersonic fighter jets are needed to counter the superior Royal Thai Air Force.
Missile defense system should be installed all along Myanmar’s borderline at strategic points. Although Myanmar military is striving hard to convert ethnic forces into border guards, it is not enough in a modern warfare of 21st Century. High tech weapons and defense systems must be installed at strategic points to defend the nation effectively, efficiently and to ensure the safety of the nation and its people.
Acquiring North Korean Scud-F missiles (3,000 kilometers range) is a good start. Compare to high tech fighter jets, missiles are more effective and cost wise to installed in massive numbers to offset the enemy threats not to mention it is easy to maintain/service and hide.
